If you think the dna looks crap, then you wont go for a Dave Jones Kit either so your 'stuck' with an extreme. However if your short on car knowledge and cant weld, to be honest, I'd advise you not to buy one. You'll never complete it and get pissed off and have to sell it for a loss.
this may sound harsh, but being involved with kits for the past 20 years, I've seen it time and time again

I agree with you MC,

You need mechanic knowledge and bodywork experience.

I tought the builder 360expert said he'd bought a mig welder and learned it on the job.
I think this is really exceptonnel. I respect you 360 expert.

A project like this isn't for dummy's...
Even to own an extreme replica. nobody'll do jobs on the car the way you want.
If you expect this you'll need a lot of cash and patience,

I bought a part built project and it's been a nightmare to sort it out.  I have the knowledge and skills (well, most of them) and trying to piece together the last persons logic is still causing me a problem, parts missing etc. etc.

I think it is better to build it yourself from scratch, take your time, be methodical and you'll end up with a better end product and may even have your sanity intact.  This of course depends on your skills in many areas.

As many people have said already, if you don't have the skills, either learn or get you hands in them pockets.

The most important thing is that it is safe and you have fun building it.

The mist I'd ever done before starting my 360 is change a starter motor! I've learnt the skills I need as I go along. Whilst I admit I've had to go back and re-do bits I made a mistake on I'm learning and getting better. Take your time and be prepared to put many hours in to get it right and there isn't anything that needs specialist knowledge or skills. I paid extreme to weld the box sections as these are the most important and the rest I plan to do myself.

To the above stage just another £2000, so that’s £4000 fitted and painted ready for windows, suspension, lights, and interior to be installed. I doubt you will ever get a better price than that!!!!!

Include a kit on top of that £6000 then the car on top of that at £1500 and rear lights at £300 then suspension £500 and wheels???  sorry forgot windows £300,

Total  (depending on wheels around £1500)      £14100, Why would anyone want to build one themselves

First post...have been following for over a year and finally registered to interact as I prepare for my purchase. I found a mint 50,000 mile MkII Turbo here so am considering 430 or Murci.

430's looking awesome...well done guys.

I'm a Brit relocated to Chicago, so I'm waiting for this to be available on the MR2 as Peugeot is not an option over here as far as I can tell.

So, when will Extreme be ready to complete the 430 on an MR2, presumably just the MkII correct? Also, any idea whether a spyder will be an option?

Hope to make it to a UK show next year, still have family in the UK.

Lastly, are interiors yet available for both, as LHD?

Many thanks,

Barry

All those new questions :) Some posts earlier everyone was just bithcin to see some pictures. I will just say: thanks a lot for the photos! Looking great! BTW, put some text over the photos so people will not steal the photos from the forum without knowing the source.
