Some catch up photos from early August 2014
-
Photo's not showing Matey
-
Having problems getting photos to upload. Will keep trying.
-
Trying to post photos but getting a message that the file is too large - any tips?
-
Search for a little program called PhotoResize600.exe
Put this onto your desktop
Drag your photo onto the PhotoResize600.exe icon
A DOS window will open and tell you to press ENTER
It will make a new resized photo in seconds
Upload the new resized photo
If you have trouble finding the program I can email it to you

Hi huw ,if I take a photo with my phone it won't download to extreme as its to big also ,I hav to touch it to my I pad which automatically resizes it then I can download it to extreme ,sounds like you are a bit like me I'm useless with computers ,hope you get it sorted looking forward to seeing some pics, this will help a lot of people who hav never seen a 430 build, cheers JD.
-
If using windows and you have office, you can open the file in Office Picture Manager, Select Edit Picture, Compress Pictures and Compress for "Web pages"
-
Thanks for your replies on how to post pictures. Hopefully there wil be pics soon - watch this space :)

Photos from last weekend
-
Yay photos ;D
Looking good. Looks like it all lines up good.
Have you done all the work yourself
Mick
-
Yes, done all the work myself.
Loads of faffing to get the panels to line up but almost there with the panel gaps.
Must admit it's my second Ferrari build. The first is under a sheet in the background.
-
You can't just say that
We need to know what is under the cover now ;)
-
Looks great Big Dog. I'll definitely be following this build with great interest. Cheers. Paul
-
Great start , it looks like you hav put the time in to gap it up right ,looking forward to seeing more pics cheers JD .
-
Looking good big dog,
Will be watching your build closely, really wanted to see the 430 being built.
Maybe my next one?
Cheers

Done some more work this weekend - on the mirrors
-
Another view of the mirrors
-
Also mounted the rear lights and rear difusser
-
And... especially for Mickey London - this is what's under the sheet
-
Haha nice
A Ferrari Daytona ?
What car is she based on
-
Looking great!!
-
Yes, it's a Daytona Spyder
It's based on a Jaguar XJ12, 5.3L with a manual getrag 5 speed box
All done myself :)
-
Very nice :P
-
Looking gud huw, it's starting to take shape now ,and I luv the Daytona Miami vice eat your heart out lol,JD
-
I like your mirrors!!
Can you detail how you made them folding?
-
Phils99 - I didn't take photos before assembling the mirrors but basically the folding mechanism consists of 2 plates, an allen bolt, a spring, a nut and 3 ball bearings. It's not very complicated, if you look on Enzo design 430 mirrors on you tube the mechanism is very similar. It's then just bonded on to your Extreme mirrors.
-
Great to see a 430 going!!! You are quick!! Looks nice!! Can't wait to see more updates!!
Cheers!!
-
Hey Bigdog,
How's it going, you been up to anything on your build lately?
Cheers

Hi
Not been able to doing much over recent months - dayjob gets in the way but been able to start again this week. Done the rain channel for the engine cover and modified the B pillar so that it cannot be seen through the quarter window.
-
Second pic
-
Third pic
-
Glad to see you're able to get cracking on her again, looking good Matey
Any tips for doing the rain channel, that's my next job ;)
Mick
-
Great work well done :)
-
Looking good big dog ,this defo makes a difference especially if you don't tint the quarter windows it means you don't have to put a large black boarder around the window to hide the pillar ,jd
-
Hi
Fitted a genuine exhaust on today. Not yet connected it up as I'm waiting for a few bends to arrive.
Here are a few pics.
-
Trying again for pics
-
Looking good :)
Good work mate :)
-
Hi Big Dog
just a quick 1 ,, why did you cut the posts ? As the 430 kit covers them no ??
-
Hi Chris
The 430 is the same as the 360. If you look at photos of most 360 kits the kit posts only cover about a quarter, if that of the Peugeot B post. To disguise it you need to have a large black border or heavily tint the window neither of which I was happy with. A bit more work but wel worth it in my opinion.
-
Totally get what your saying , infact I've just gone back out to shed to see , but I can't see why I'd need to ?? Am I just being thick ?? Or are our kits not the same ?? As I have not the metal to box the rear in !!
-
.
-
.
-
.
-
.
-
See what I mean !! Or like I said maybe me just being a bit of a div , but if I've still got to cut ;sooner do it now :)
-
Chris, I don't know what's happened but all your pics you have just put up are upside down on my pc
All the blood is rushing to my head haha
Mick
-
Hahaha :) oh don't know what's happened there then :)
-
Hi Chris
The biggest difference between your kit and mine it that yours was delivered upside down - haha
In all seriousness, you won't see the door pillar until you cut out the opening for the quarter windows. Most people cut out the large triangle not the small one. Once you've done this you will see the Peugeot pillar is at a different angle to the kit. Hope this helps.
-
Ha thanks Big Dog , lol sounds funny saying thanks big dog :)
-
Done some work on the doors. Fitted Audi A3 window mechanisms. Not quite finished but some pics of work done so far.
-
Nice job :)
Keep the pics coming :)
-
Hey big dog, nice job buddy.
Have you altered the roofline for the Audi glass?
Just a heads up if not, before you get too far advanced for any adjustments. FerrariJD did this in his build and I am sure roofline adjustment was needed.
Hope this helps mate
Cheers
Alex360
-

Looks fab mate well done , I think this is the first 430 on the forum in this country :) hope to see you at stoneliegh jd
-
Couldn't understand why there are so few extreme 430's. This kit was introduced years before extreme went under. How's it feel to be an exclusive member, there's only four other 430s either extreme or splashed that I know of.
Well done, looks great.
D
