Hi Steve
Just one of those things they saw me as an easy target. New when I was there and not there. I'll be sorting through things after Christmas and selling basic kit bodywork untouched but all 670 extras. I'll put it up on this site as anyone who is actually on here has an interest in building it not just flipping it for profit.

If you notice I said it took 35 years to put the tool kit together. I've been around cars all my life. Didn't buy them for the build I bought them for their ability to last. They didn't just take the tools I had my mum's stuff and brothers stuff stored there after their deaths. It's time to call it a day although don't have a limp it took the best part of 2 years to get better. They took a lot more than tools.

Hi to everyone
Been a while after what happened in 2016 I didn't have my mind on the job. Wham got hit by a bit of steel 9 months later walking again. Another year on and walking fine not even a limp. Went to workshop all as I remembered it everything covered in dust. Some bloke stuck his head in the door got talking. He noticed all my tools were snap on. Took 35 years to put it together. Then off he goes I go home next morning I go back to workshop something's different. Office door bust open storeroom door of its hinges. Open a few drawers on toolbox empty looking around no sign of entry along the back of the workshop are a line of containers but I was meet with this so it's now time to call it a day and part with the build.

Well been trying to sort out loads of shit and not having touched the car for about 5 months. Got a phone call from a company I had asked about a year ago for certain parts to let me know if they become available. Taday was that day they are importing a damaged lp640 . The parts will be available and more so I will be down there this weekend and starting the build again.

Hi I got quoted £200 each for custom drive shafts that's from 01e gearbox to mr2 hubs I think the company was bailey or something. I'll try to find the card he gave me.

Well got back in workshop at weekend had to clear a load of space to store stuff from clearing my mums place . Have got so much stuff that I've changed my mind about using will have a good clear out. Sell of what I'm not going to use suprising how much it's worth. Then start on the build again as long as nothing else stops me.

Hi have you looked at dee-ltd.co.uk they have the 3.4L V6 D2GR-FE which starts at 276bhp going to 450 bhp not sure about bolt pattern but  should be same as meant for lotus elise. Haven't  looked properly so don't know if they are crate engines or re manufactured.  Just a thought.

Well not done much to murcie and wont be for a while got to work out the rear chassis. I will need to get some photos and dimensions from either steve or andy and work from there. Meanwhile I had a bit of luck found this. The supercharger wasn't working and the gearbox wouldn't change properly. the bloke had spent quite a lot on it and then those faults appeared had it in the garage couldn't find a fault code so decided to get rid. made a silly offer and was rejected got other people coming to see it. next week got a call if I want it come and get it £600 and 100 miles later nursed it home. By luck I know these engines same as clk so straight into the K40 and there it was burnt connections on one relay cleaned them up re soldered it. Popped it back in fired up the engine increased the revs to over 2k the supercharger engaged down the road gearbox working fine. You can tune these engines without spending if you have access to a lathe and die grinder make a new larger crank pulley smaller supercharger pulley port out the supercharger a few other mods and you around 300bhp. Got a nitrous kit sitting in the workshop been there about 5 years add that still not spending and your over 400bhp. Will have to sort out exhaust but have all the bits that I was going to use on the rs4 lump before I changed to the twin turbo rs6 lump. Trying to find a LSD 2nd hand will be the hardest. That's the target 350/400 bhp weekend drive for under a grand.

Just looking at the rear suspension move will have to remake the metal work changing down to 2.5mm saves over 5kgs. Got to start thinking of weight saving but will have to weigh that against time. will have to backward engineer the parts not ideal but quickest. 1st picture the assembled original part and disassembled. 2nd picture the original top chassis replacement in the middle and the 2 new ones ive just made left and right handed.

Just started sorting out metal work for the rear suspension move at least that's not going to cost me. The materials I can get for nothing but just adding up what needs to be bought is quite a lot. Which brings me to thinking has anyone built to what they thought they could. ? Even AP bought  his complete and I think he's spent more than what it's cost on it not to mention the amount of labour he's put in.

Got a few bits sorted this week got a set of flow matched injectors all within 1%. Not quite what I wanted but got to watch the spending starting to get a bit out of hand. ordered a pair of window regulators from Australia last Friday they arrived on Thursday. managed to get the exhaust outlets welded so that's the exhaust started. see what I can get done tomorrow.
