1  Extreme Deals / Buy and Sell Forum / Murci for sale on: February 15, 2016, 11:39:50 AM
Hi guys. It comes as a huge regret to tell you all that i must depart with my beloved murci. It's cauing way to many arguments and unfortunately the new house will just not have the space for it.

Pics are under 'My build diary'

This car is also listed on Gumtree but pay no attention to the price. I just had to stick anything on there.

Open to offers

Ok so here's the car. Please excuse the donor car for the aston in the pic. running out of drive space for all these vehicles. Haha Tongue

I'll try and get some decent pictures for you guys today. (of the whole car) I haven't applied any lacquer at the moment so it looks a matt finish which is still quite cool Tongue

Cheers for the feedback guys. I was certainly going for the more classy look. As much as people don't really relate the words "Lamborghini" and "classy". I wanted to steer away from the outlandish colours and go for something simple. I like it and i think it's turned out quite nice. Pics soon for you guys to see for yourself.

So i unbolted my front bumper and sprayed it the other day. Didn't post a pic but here's one:

I have actually sprayed the whole car in this colour now but do not have a picture to upload at the moment. Please let me know what you think of the colour, and don't be afraid to tell me it's rubbish if you think so...rather have honest opinions as it's nothing for me to change it as i do it all myself. Smiley

P.S - Please ignore the rest of the car and the state of the drive Tongue I don't actually work on the car there...haha

Haha will do! Feeling a bit better now so I managed to get some of the lambo sprayed yesterday and will do as much more as i can today. I'll get those pics up when i get in later.

Haha, who knew all it would take was a bottle of wine and a pack of maltesers. Cheaper than a damn ring.

Like i said, I only really did it out of interest and to keep her quiet. There was absolutely no chance i could let it go for that price though.

So the weather has been shite to say the least and i've not been feeling great recently, so i wasn't able to get everything done as planned today, however I was able to get another layer of lacquer on the aston. Couldnt really get much done as i felt like crap. For those that are interested though, i'll post a pic of the Aston until i have a pic of the Lambo.

I will be spraying the Lambo today in dark silver. (more like grey in my opinion) It's a little darker than the pic i posted. Same colour that i've just sprayed my Aston. Shouldn't take me too long.

I'll post some picks on here later to see what you think. If it turns out crap and i don't like it in grey i'll just respray it Smiley

Wish me luck!

I'd agree with Steve. I'm not sure if you noticed but I stuck mine on ebay not long ago just out of interest. I put it up for 12k (obviously needs a hell of a lot more doing than yours) Got loads of offers all ranging from 5k up to 10k. Had about 4-5 offers of 10k, but like i said, I was only doing it to see what people were willing to pay. I've certainly realised that it's a much better option to keep the car.

I also agree with what Mick said. It's only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. It's just finding the right buyer at the right time, as you get a lot of dreamers that arent aware of the real value of the kits and only a few that understand what it is they're buying.

Unless anyone is willing to offer you a figure you don't want to refuse then I think you'd definitely be better off finishing her Smiley

I am struggling with financial capabilities and time to work on two projects at the moment. Plus when you have such money invested in a kit and the partner is complaining about money it's not great!

Also - The car is not currently stored at my own place and this is causing me a lot of stress as other storage plans fell through and am having to do what I can borrowing space from relatives.

Although saying that...

I have always loved this kit. The eBay listing is more just to shut the partner up, and curiousity i guess..(I love watching the views go up, seriously it's crazy how many views this thing gets...we're talking like 2 and half thousand per day). I am trying my best to sort things so that i can comfortably keep both.

Trust me, I wouldn't have even joined the forum if it was all about the profit. You guys have been great motivators and help and I am still looking forward to (fingers crossed) sharing my builds further.

Although it's listed at that price i'm still having to consider offers less than I paid for the car just to keep the mrs happy. I'm determined not to sell though.

If I can get the Aston so a decent state relatively soonish and let that one go then it's a win win. The mrs is happy and I have some cash to work on the Lambo.

Keep up the good work buddy! It'll definitely be worth it when it's done! Wink

Cheers bud! i'm trying to do as much as possible but also working on the Aston so it's not going as quick as expected, however i will continue to post pics, of the both of them!

Also - It's almost certain that i will be getting the lambo re-coloured as I like orange but considering it needs touching up i've considered a whole colour change. I'm thiking of something a little more subtle like this one:

would like to know what colour you guys would go for!
