1  Extreme Kits / Extreme ChitChat / Agreed Value Problem on: July 15, 2018, 07:59:18 PM
Hi guys i am looking for some advice.

my 360 is currently Insured with Footman James,   I have requested to have an agreed value on the policy which I can have but before they agree to this I have to provide them with an agreed value form that as been completed by someone that can value the car correctly I have asked if it could be done by someone via the forum as they would know whats involved in building one again cost etc,   but this is not acceptable so I am just asking what other members have done regarding the cars having an agreed value and if you could recommend someone or a company I could contact to get my car inspected/valued,

at the moment the car is only insured at market value and this clearly would be a huge loss on what its worth and what I paid for it,   so I am scared drive her at the Moment and with this weather its such a shame,

thank you guys

regards
Dave

Hi guys sorry its taken a while to get some pics up,  I' ve had the car for 4 weeks now. i do have plans to do the interior I Have already put some plasma dials in and a new replica wheel.  Bought a OEM Centre console to go in with new red carpet and plan to fit some cream leather OEM seats when i have saved for them.  its drove great for 4 weeks around 60-80 miles,   yesterday was a big day for the car and a friend whom i promised him he could take his daughter to her school prom in her,  she drove 15 miles to collect her fine,  did all the pics etc he then sets off with daughter and 50 yards later the clutch pedal drops to the floor and refuses to come back up!  Sad    wheel that was the end of that.... arrival to prom was in a standard car not what she was expecting,   anyhow a 3:20 minute wait for the RAC To come and the chap found that the master cylinder had come away from the  firewall!  god know how thats happened,  after 2 hours laying over the engine and some how getting his arms down the back of the engine which as you know is a bloody nightmare he somehow managed to twist it back into the firewall housing, the car got home but will need to go in a garage for further inspection, and re bleed the system.   off all nights for this to happen! i am so gutted for the poor girl she's been looking forward to arriving in style for weeks Sad .   anyhow here is a few pics of the car as she stands now,  please ignore the tow eye it was in thinking it may have to be towed last night,

Well Today was the day i picked up my car,   I Have bought Colin360's car. that he built himself. and has a build thread on here.  I am very pleased with the car and cant wait to get to work on the interior,  I would like to get some cream leather gen seats and look to do the round air vent mod on the dash and paint with the Bradleys liquid paint that JD And a few others have used in black and cream.   I have bought a 360 gen centre console the car already has the gear stick h gate completed so hopefully wont be to bad of a job to change from pug to ferrari console,  the one job I really would like to have done though is change the Current windows from the perspex to the Audi A3 Glass or OEM.  I would love to know if anyone could possible recommend someone that can undertake this work for me on the glass mod,  normally I would approach JD Himself but I believe he is already tied up with last min jobs for other member and his move away.   if any other members can do this or know of someone that can please do let me know.   the car needs a good clean but once ive done this and given her a good polish ill be sure to get some pics on but in the mean time here is a quick one from today.

Hi Brian

Yes ive seen Johns build,  he used the A3 Windows though not OEM.  Id happily go for a3 but I wouldn't like to do the work as i wouldn't want to do the roof work etc.   thats way above my skills.   I was thinking if the 360 oem window glass could be done and not to much is required to do it,  id go that route more so as JD Was the go to guy to have the a3 window work done but with JD Moving to France that option is out the window no pun intended haha
6  Extreme Kits / Extreme 360 / OEM SIDE WINDOW GLASS on: May 26, 2018, 05:26:06 PM
Hi Guys Does anyone know whats required to complete and fit the original Ferrari glass to the pug doors?  the car currently as the plastic windows,   i would normally look at the audi a3 mod but with JD no longer available to do this and i am dont want to tackle this myself.  i was just wondering if the OEM Glass is a simpler job not having to change room line etc,   i did think about maybe getting some glass made from copying the plastic extreme glass but didnt expect the cost to be so high,   I know dman did say he had a list of things required to fit OEM glass but he doesnt seem to be on the forum anymore Sad

thx guys

Dave

Hi Simon could I ask?  Is the steering wheel a gem 360 one? It looks great.  Could you tell me the make/model if it’s an aftermarket wheel please?  Thank you,  I’d have loved that airvent mod too but just my luck JD moving to France Sad. I don’t know if I can bring myself to start grinding away at the dash more so having no bounding skills.

Thx again
Regards

Dave

Hi Guys quick introduction,  I 'am Dave 34 tomorrow,  Based in Manchester.
I have been looking at buying an extreme 360 for a while and I am very pleased to say i have agreed to buy a Forum members car I wont say who just yet as i think it is only right and fair to keep that detail private.  I am hoping to get the car towards the end of June.  I am setting myself the target of getting the interior completed for the stoneleigh dates for next year to give me plenty of time to source some genuine seats and bits and bobs to finish the car.   I cant wait to get started i hope i can pick many of your brains in the future,

the first question id like to ask for those that have the gen seats can they bolt straight in or do they require re fab rails etc? for high reasons.

i will upload plenty of pics once i pick the car up,

thx guys,  I look forward to meeting some of you at shows etc,

Dave
