166  Extreme Kits / Extreme 360 / Exhaust silencers (need to reduce loudness) on: June 28, 2015, 09:23:07 PM
the exhaust on my 3Ltr Peugeot based 360 is almost straight thru, has the cat and one inline small box half way along the car. It sounds great, but unfortunately exceeds the MOT test max (Irish MOT: aka NCT) or 99dB. My max is 112dB at 3000 rpm. The pipe OD is 2" all the way.

I need to find a place to fit a single silencer box, or maybe to small cans (perhaps close to the twin exit pipes)..

I would really appreciate any help and advice you can give (especially if you have a rough diagram and can recommend what to buy, size, supplier). My eventual plan is to fit a vacuum actuated bypass valve before the cat, with a small pipe places somewhere handy, but that's something for the future, not now (I did that on my 3Ltr 355 replica, was fantastic).

- another question, before I forget, it doesnt look like I have an exhaust leak, however I can clearly smell exhaust fumes inside the car when parked and engine running, any of you experienced this, its a serious issue that I must fix asap, so all tips welcome

Thanks in advance!

My new acquisition, replaced my F355 rep with this lovely Extreme 360, just needs some important details sorting, then I'm going to have a go at the interior, and lower it some more

170  Extreme Kits / Extreme 360 / Dials kit for the 406? on: June 16, 2015, 04:04:34 PM
Hi everyone,

I'm the proud owner of an Extreme 360, 99% done, just a list of cosmetic things to sort. Until I get to the stage where I'll acquire an F360 interior, I'd like to pop a set of yellow dial backs in the Peugeot main clock set. can I ask where you guys get them from please?

is it the following company perhaps?

thanks in advance

I'm reliably informed mine is from the Fiero factory, so it turns out not to be an extreme 355 after all.

172  Extreme Deals / Buy and Sell Forum / HUB EXTENSION/Wheel spacers- pair of 85mm for MR2- brand new £100 on: September 06, 2009, 09:52:28 AM
Pair of 85mm hub extensions/wheel spacers (MR2 PCD). Brand new (made end Aug 09), high quality and very strong. Ideal for Ferrari replica rear fitment on an MR2. £100 plus P&P

PCD in, and PCD out is MR2, which means they are good for the MR2 hub going to a wheel with MR2 PCD. (my wheels are not MR2, hence I'm not having another set made).

GBP£100 plus P&P

Hi Drew, I currently have 5.5cm (55mm) spacers on the rear, with a set of 5 spoke Hanamii wheels on the MR2 hub.

I'm seeking an extra 4cm (40mm) to give total 9.5cm (95mm), which will leave the tyres approx 10mm of tread inside the top of the wheel arch.

Could you please give me a price for a pair of 95mm spacers. Alternatively I could opt for the standard 85mm ones you mention, which might be ok, but not quite as sexy a more wider stance (so a compromise but better than I have now). What kind of ETA should I expect from the time I place my order (can sort out delivery logistics later, I'm on the West Coast of Ireland, and pop over to the UK frequently).

Cheers

174  Extreme Kits / 355 Build Tips and advice / H gate- anyone have probs? on: August 08, 2009, 10:36:41 AM
Looks like my H gate isn't mapped correctly to my reverse gear selection (it lifts slightly when I engage reverse). Are these hand made? I'm thinking of making my own so its spot on for smooth gear changes.

Anyone else had issues with the H gate?

Interested in comments etc

Cheers

175  Extreme Kits / Extreme 355 / Re: side- rear window louvre question on: August 04, 2009, 01:36:32 PM
Cheers,

The paintwork needs improving, front panel support could be better, door interior trim sorting, wheel spacers too small, filler cap MR2-ish nees sorting, and thats about it really. The engine note is dreamy, and the mechanics seem very good indeed.I'll probably do the black perspex thing on those louvres, as a quick fix for now, good suggestion. I'm wondering if mine really is an MR2 355 kit from Extreme, not sure how to tell.
176  Extreme Deals / Buy and Sell Forum / registration V8 BDW for sale (cheap) on: August 03, 2009, 07:14:44 PM
I've been in Ireland for 5 years, and am unlikely to need this any more. Will let it go cheap if anyone is interested, so pls let me know
177  Extreme Kits / Extreme 355 / Re: side- rear window louvre question on: August 03, 2009, 06:38:45 PM
The exterior louvres are still present. I'm collecting the car on Friday, and know it has these and want to do somethinbg about it. Thanks for your comments. Next thing on the list is to replace the MR2 style filler with a more authentic ferrari one and neck.
178  Extreme Kits / Extreme 355 / side- rear window louvre question on: August 03, 2009, 12:04:40 PM
My 355 has the black louvre behind the window- an MR2 clue. Is this particular to my version, or is it possible to replace the window to effectively black out the louvre?

What's the typical way of handling this?

Thanks in advance

Hi Drew355. I'm collecting my Extreme 355 next Friday, and despite having wheel spacers, the rear wheels are still too far inboard. I'd like to contact you for your kind help acquiring some larger spacers for me, assuming you still can I (this thread is over 1 year old), as it'll save me grief hunting around. Will get the tape measure out next weekend.

Please let me know if U can still help.

Cheers

Brian
