166  Extreme Kits / Extreme 360 / Re: Dials kit for the 406? on: July 06, 2015, 10:06:45 PM
Just fitted my F430 (Thrustmaster) mod Momo wheel I spent a while doing at the weekend. Back to the dials question, Moman.pl has been recommended to me, and I must say I love their work. I've just ordered some custom INDIGLO PLASMA GAUGES F430 with yellow backlights, will let you know how they turn out

Hi everyone just wondering is there any good tips to get a close to realistic sound from the v6 engine in the pug

My hot tip is to fit a vacuum actuated bypass valve between the downpipes and the first box, get a Y piece welded in, then a stubby exhaust to let the engine roar at higher revs. Here's one I fitted to my V6 355 replica, worked a treat. Prevous to that I experimented with electronically controlled ones, however the electric motors ended up failing.

I added a solenoid so I could have it stay at any level of opened I wanted, or just let it open up when the revs increased. Sams as they use of ferrari, if you're going to use a genuine back box, you could fit there, but personally I'd have it forward of the cat

This is the sort of look I am hoping for......without the rear spoiler though

Go for it! I've not seen an Extreme 360 sitting really low like that, would love to see someone do it (eg air suspension?), thats one of my aims too

Anyone had success fitting a real F360 rear window?...or tailgate for that matter
170  Extreme Kits / Extreme 360 / Re: Timing belt cover on: July 01, 2015, 09:04:12 AM
Great question, I recently purchased my Extreme 360 and notice the belt cover rubbing on the underside of the bonnet, was going to modify the cover so its closer to the belt, and create more clearance seems easier than messing with engine mounts.

There's not much room under the bonnet, personally I think thats a quite a topic, optimising the space, getting the air to circulate, getting cool air into the intake whilst keeping the bonnet from getting hot (eg with reflect-a-gold or something?). I've temp fitted a K&N type airfilter and even that is right up against the bonnet underside.

What have others done?

Got it, thanks Steve

Looks great Brian ,hav you just got the plenums and frame for it, they will really make it look something ,jd

Thanks. Yes Plenums and frame.  Genuine F360 airboxes on their way. Need to collect the rest of the bits, and then have the choice of making side panels or buying the real ones, plus the bulkhead. Don't want anything to let it down, but have to do some boring things in the meantime, incl exhaust (and bypass valvel for the v6...not so boring ;-), large "to-do" list, but am pleased its a car which should turn out fantastic in every respect.

Air suspension maybe.
173  Extreme Kits / Extreme 360 / Re: Exhaust silencers (need to reduce loudness) on: June 29, 2015, 05:28:32 PM
Thanks JD, useful info!!

This evening I had to remove the rear panel to fit the correct curved Cavallino, the flat one didn't look right. Boot liners removed and you were right JD, holes through to the arch (I could see the twin pipes through there), now I know what to do.

danke, ich liebe it- noch einiges an Arbeit auf sie noch tun, wenn

Pics from today

and some ebay wins from last week, which I hope to put in place correctly, once I've got the car through the roadworthiness test (quite a bit to do for that), nice to have that sitting there. Wonder if a real F360 rear window would fit, anyone done it?

175  Extreme Kits / Extreme 360 / Exhaust silencers (need to reduce loudness) on: June 28, 2015, 09:23:07 PM
the exhaust on my 3Ltr Peugeot based 360 is almost straight thru, has the cat and one inline small box half way along the car. It sounds great, but unfortunately exceeds the MOT test max (Irish MOT: aka NCT) or 99dB. My max is 112dB at 3000 rpm. The pipe OD is 2" all the way.

I need to find a place to fit a single silencer box, or maybe to small cans (perhaps close to the twin exit pipes)..

I would really appreciate any help and advice you can give (especially if you have a rough diagram and can recommend what to buy, size, supplier). My eventual plan is to fit a vacuum actuated bypass valve before the cat, with a small pipe places somewhere handy, but that's something for the future, not now (I did that on my 3Ltr 355 replica, was fantastic).

- another question, before I forget, it doesnt look like I have an exhaust leak, however I can clearly smell exhaust fumes inside the car when parked and engine running, any of you experienced this, its a serious issue that I must fix asap, so all tips welcome

Thanks in advance!

My new acquisition, replaced my F355 rep with this lovely Extreme 360, just needs some important details sorting, then I'm going to have a go at the interior, and lower it some more

Great, thanks Alex!

Hi everyone,

I'm the proud owner of an Extreme 360, 99% done, just a list of cosmetic things to sort. Until I get to the stage where I'll acquire an F360 interior, I'd like to pop a set of yellow dial backs in the Peugeot main clock set. can I ask where you guys get them from please?

is it the following company perhaps?

thanks in advance

I'm reliably informed mine is from the Fiero factory, so it turns out not to be an extreme 355 after all.
