Just checked mine, there's almost 1cm that can be shaved off the top, in that area. Am charging my dremel right now to get stuck in.

Got it! glad I asked.

Actually the holy grail for me has to be to source the rubber for the window surrounds and channel right over to the door pillars, not seen this done 100% yet. Something that lets down most of these Extreme 360's IMHO, not to mention the water ingress.

Genuine F360 plenums above, plus some temp things in the engine bay, while I source the other correct bits

Temp dial backs (print outs of the proofs from Moman plasma dials, Poland), until the proper ones arrive in the post:

Anyone know if they will fit an extreme 360??

Thanks in advance

Thats a great sound !  I do like the idea of it being vacumn actuated so it opens when you put your foot down. nice job.
Whats next on your list of things to do, or is it finished now ?

Thanks, the 355 finished and just sold.

I now have a lovely looking 360, my mission to make it go, as good as it looks

Filling the bay up with some genuine bits and pieces

I've quite a long list, about 10% through it. The electrics aren't as friendly as I'd hoped (lack of info on the internet about the 406 coupe wiring circuit diags and colour codes). A bypass valve is on my list for this V6 too, unfortunartely the Irish MOT think mine is too loud (sounds lovely)..peaks at a superb 112dBs, but I have to get it down to 95dBs :-(

Nice, so is that straight through once the valve opens or do you have a cat / primary silencer before ?

Yes its straight through, no cat. When closed, its gas tight. No problem for the MOT (or NCT as they call it here in Ireland). Loud and rather nice in tunnels, but under control. Some added BHP when its open too (bonus). THis is the Camry 3L V6 Mr2 conversion y the way (engine behind)

174  Extreme Kits / Extreme 360 / Getting the 360 through its first MOT- help req'd if you can (tips) on: July 06, 2015, 10:27:21 PM
I've a list of things to do to get through my cars 1st Irish MOT (aka NCT). The car was built about 7 years ago in Ireland and has mostly been stored since (with the odd car show and short trip I understand). My mission is to get it fit for regular use and pass the strict MOT here.

Two challenges I could do with some help/guidance please

1/ The Peugeot windscreen glass safety marks are not visible at all (I guess hidden under the new body), thats a fail. I'm after a pic of the safety glass mark thats used on the 406 coupe, can any of you help by taking a pic, if you happen to be building one of these and can still see it?  My plan is to get a sticker made....NOW SORTED
2/ Some of the rear light wiring is substandard, wires twisted together and taped. Some wires are dud and the lights are not functioning correctly. Been trying to get my hands on a 1999 (D8) 3ltr 406 coupe wiring diagram and wire colour code- can you help?? (downloaded the D8 workshop manual [thanks mickey_london, still hunting the elusive wiring diags)

thanks in advance

Brian
175  Extreme Kits / Extreme 360 / F430 Steering wheel mod on: July 06, 2015, 10:17:55 PM
Thrustmaster Ferrari F430 licensed copy steering wheel mod just completed. Used a slightly different Momo wheel this time (I did on a 330mm wheel on the 355), 350mm, pefect fit. Start button connected to remote key fob inside the wheel centre, transmits wireless to a small receiver momentary switch under the dash.

Dash work next.

Just fitted my F430 (Thrustmaster) mod Momo wheel I spent a while doing at the weekend. Back to the dials question, Moman.pl has been recommended to me, and I must say I love their work. I've just ordered some custom INDIGLO PLASMA GAUGES F430 with yellow backlights, will let you know how they turn out

Hi everyone just wondering is there any good tips to get a close to realistic sound from the v6 engine in the pug

My hot tip is to fit a vacuum actuated bypass valve between the downpipes and the first box, get a Y piece welded in, then a stubby exhaust to let the engine roar at higher revs. Here's one I fitted to my V6 355 replica, worked a treat. Prevous to that I experimented with electronically controlled ones, however the electric motors ended up failing.

I added a solenoid so I could have it stay at any level of opened I wanted, or just let it open up when the revs increased. Sams as they use of ferrari, if you're going to use a genuine back box, you could fit there, but personally I'd have it forward of the cat

This is the sort of look I am hoping for......without the rear spoiler though

Go for it! I've not seen an Extreme 360 sitting really low like that, would love to see someone do it (eg air suspension?), thats one of my aims too
179  Extreme Kits / Extreme 360 / Re: new member,rear windscreen question? on: July 01, 2015, 09:11:26 AM
Anyone had success fitting a real F360 rear window?...or tailgate for that matter
180  Extreme Kits / Extreme 360 / Re: Timing belt cover on: July 01, 2015, 09:04:12 AM
Great question, I recently purchased my Extreme 360 and notice the belt cover rubbing on the underside of the bonnet, was going to modify the cover so its closer to the belt, and create more clearance seems easier than messing with engine mounts.

There's not much room under the bonnet, personally I think thats a quite a topic, optimising the space, getting the air to circulate, getting cool air into the intake whilst keeping the bonnet from getting hot (eg with reflect-a-gold or something?). I've temp fitted a K&N type airfilter and even that is right up against the bonnet underside.

What have others done?
