31  Extreme Kits / Extreme 360 / Gear stick mod to F360 on: October 03, 2017, 04:15:01 PM
Am in the process of modifying the 406 Coupe gearstick, so I can then have a custom H gate made from an alloy block.

I've removed the chunky section and knob, leaving me with the short piece of shaft. This is obviously too fat, I'd like to cut and weld on a smaller diameter piece of stainless rod. see pic:

Question for those who have done this mod:

1/ did you remove the stick and ball joint from its socket in the plastic base, prior to welding (I can't imagine you'd leave it on, otherwise it'd melt right?
2/ when you fitted your H gate, did you leave the rubber centralising dust gator in place undertneath?

Thanks in advance,

32  Extreme Kits / 360 Build Tips and Advice / Re: Windscreen seal on: October 01, 2017, 08:26:20 PM
Good question, my 360 seal isn't too bad, but I really don't like the square cut upper windscreen corners. My mission to round them off and find the perfect rubber seal that works the whole way around the screen. IMHO this is the achilles heel of the Extreme 360. JD has done a few epic windscreen mods to fix, I'm looking for a shortcut
33  Extreme Forums / Meets and Events / Event City Classic car Show Manchester 16-17 Sept 2017 on: August 31, 2017, 02:40:46 PM
The Footman James Classic car show is on at Event City in Manchester, a great indoor venue.

Mick Coomer on the DNA & Extreme Owners club facebook page has 3 free spare places, alongside his own spot, and wants to know who else would like to come along. See the facebook page for chat and details on that. I now the Italian replica car club attend this event annually, rain or shine.
here's a link to the show itself: http://www.manchesterclassiccarshow.com/

Let him know, and post on here too

Its a fair price for THE best F360 replica in the UK, I hope it goes to a good home.

Fantastic car, takes you breath away when you see it in the flesh, the stance and everything, that Ferrari feeling you get in the pit of your stomach that makes you say to yourself "I WANT IT!"

38  Extreme Kits / Extreme 360 / Re: 360 moulds on ebay on: July 10, 2017, 11:51:10 AM

My car was made from those moulds in Ireland. A friend of mine has the Extreme 360 which I understand was used as the plug for the pre-modified mould set.
It has a windscreen scuttle which differs from Extreme 360, and a few other differences.

Imagine if these cars could talk, I bet they could tell a few good stories!

Getting the complete history of your car is very useful, practically and also when selling.

41  Extreme Kits / Extreme 360 / Rear engine lid/tailgate construction on: May 22, 2017, 02:45:11 PM
Anyone know whats inside the Extreme tailgate, eg does it have a steel frame inside or just two GRP mouldings sandwiched together?

Reason I ask,m is because:

1/ Am retro fitting the middle brake light, and need to find out if its hollow inside, so I can feed the wires inside
2/ I've splashed out on the genuine grills for each side of the engine lid (Eurospares), and want to anticipate how much grinding half an inch off the top, each side, will have on it, structurally. I'll go the genuine tailgate and glass route eventually, so can use those grills then, if this ends in tears. Keen to make it look better now though.

I think a good month, if that, and it should be ready for booking up the IVA

Is that a ' what's an IVA ' or ' why are you having an IVA '
Mick  Wink

Its a "why, rather than a "what".  In Ireland there was no such thing, so I obtained a full engineers report (needed for modified cars). I've now imported my 360 to the UK. From what I read about IVA and SVA (assume that to be the earlier version), they can be a mine field.

Hi mickey , guys , Oem centre console finished and fitted , but it's been raining all day so next nice day I will give her a wash and take a few pics cheers jd
Wow, that looks seriously good, and authentic looking! superb work.  Is that a new gear stick shaft welded on? the H gate is spot on too. I need mine done just like that, don't need much done to my car- but that work looks top notch!!!

If you have a free slot in the next 10 months, can I book mine in for this (pm me), thanks
