2  Extreme Deals / Buy and Sell Forum / Murcielago Seats for sale on: December 16, 2015, 02:58:16 PM
Hi guys,

As it turns out, my Superleggera seats are in fact Murcielago seats!
They are now for sale as a pair for £2500 cash on collection.

Let me know if anyone's interested. Please don't offer me less as this is truthfully what I paid for them and will not sell them for less.

Thank you all and Merry Christmas!

That's alright!  Grin

They are a very particular taste in that colour!
I was gonna have them retrimmed in a grey alcantara to put in my gallardo rep, but seeing as I've sold pretty much all the car now, I'm just looking to sell them.

Yeah not many people are willing to pay the asking price. But they are the cheapest Superleggera seats in the UK.  A lot of people have offered £2500 for them, but that's what you'd be paying for standard gallardo seats.
Everywhere else I've seen these special edition seats they are £7500 for the pair (used) and £7500 EACH when new!

Just a waiting game until the right buyer shows up!

I may get them re trimmed so that they're more desirable though

Would anyone like to make me a sensible offer on my superleggera seats please?
A fab addition to your murci, rather than the rubbish standard murci seats.

Was gonna put these in my Gallardo rep, but selling off all the bits now.

Hi Alex,

Yes I'm quite disappointed mate. That option was my first, and a few weeks of enquiries have only come back with a lot of "not interested", "maybe we can look at it next summer" and "we can build anything but it'll cost you a thousand hours at £60 per hour!"

It has to broken up to sell off in bits as no one will buy a part built Gallardo replica for the money.

Can I just confirm that I'm not a manufacturer, builder, seller or in anyway trying to do business in the sense of making a business!
I'm just trying to sell off my project coz I haven't the time!

Thank you
12  Extreme Deals / Buy and Sell Forum / Rear mounted engine rolling chassis for sale. on: August 31, 2015, 01:58:13 AM
Anyone fancy building their Extreme 360/430 on a rear mounted spaceframe chassis?
Well this ones for sale!

Due to massive time restraints I'm breaking up my 90% completed Gallardo kit car.
All parts for sale but the main part is the rolling chassis with or with out the Gallardo body and interior.
The riolling chassis would include the following -
100% accurate steel box section space frame for rear mounted engine and Gallardo body, with galvanised floor.
Bilstein adjustable coilover suspension
Aluminium billet hubs
Suspension arms with new ball joints all round
Twin stainless steel fuel tanks
OEM 19" Gallardo wheels with tyres
OEM Gallardo brake calipers (8 piston and 4 piston plus handbrake calipers, just repainted)
OEM Gallardo rota brake discs
Non power steering rack with collapsible steering column (as required by IVA)

In the picture the engine is fitted.
This is being sold separately.

Cost for the rolling chassis with all the above is £9000
Alternatively can be purchased without brakes, wheels and suspension.

Gallardo body and interior (all 100% dimensionally accurate) is £6750
Complete rolling chassis and body with interior £15000

14  Extreme Kits / Extreme ChitChat / Re: Genuine 360 body on: August 06, 2015, 12:09:02 PM
just had a quick look at the specs of the gallardo and F430...
wanted to see how my spaceframe matches up to a 430 body.  My space frame is built to fit an exact gallardo body.
Dunno about the Extreme 430 body? is that dead on to the mm or out by a couple of mm?

                 GALLARDO                 F430

Length         4300                       4512

Width          1900                       1923

Wheelbase    2560                       2600

Front Track   1622                       1669

Rear Track    1592                       1616

Not a huge amount of difference.
The space frame is built and designed to take an audi V8 and 2WD (RWD) gearbox - 6 speed manual, hubs and calipers right at the wheel (so no spacers and fake discs/calipers etc), bilstein coilovers, full length steering rack, and a custom windscreen frame to suit whatever body goes on it.
Obviously much more expensive than buying a pug 406 coupe though. But a genuine RWD V8.
A project I may take up after the gallardo...

This is up for sale again!

I've heard the seller is not so great to get on with...but I don't know him so I won't judge.
Anyway, I'm not sure where the DVLA stand on re-using an existing tub as part of a self built kit car.  With a space frame you need a certificate of newness from the manufacturer to pass the IVA test in order to get it registered.  This of course will not have that.
It could definitely be used a track car, and even rebuilt as a 430 with the right parts.
I'd even try and put in a V10 or V12 if it could be made to fit!
I think get it road registered would prove a real PITA though.

I have considered having another space frame constructed, based on my Gallardo space frame, but for the wheel base and track of say the 430, drop in the audi V8 and RWD box (as I've done in mY gallardo rep), and plonk one of Extreme's 430 body's on top...?
