First time builder
« on: October 02, 2010, 09:35:18 PM »
Hello chaps!

My first post; I have been an avid car enthusiast for over 30 years now, used to tune capri's, cortina's, escort's etc  Then the 'Electronic era' rumbled in! Now it's coil packs and sensors....:(

Anyhoo to my point; I have been reading about the 360 kit for the pug coupe 3ltr, looks really impressive, a great deal of thought has definitely gone into it! I contacted Extreme-sportscars in order to get some kind of build dvd, pdf etc.  Nothing, nada - bit weird I thought, surely if someone is charging and arm and a leg for a fibreglass kit then some kind of reply should be in order!?
Is it me or are they just ignorant? My friend is thinking of getting the murci kit from them as I am interested in the 360 - so that's a possible '£15+' there, now don't get me wrong I know that they are busy people (aren't we all?) but I fail to see where they need to be this ignorant!  A potential buyer pays their bills for heaven's sake!

Anyhoo, that aside, I was wondering as to whether anyone in here has a build dvd that they have finished perhaps and no longer need?  Or dare I say it a 'copy of one' (only for backup purposes obviously)...

It will be the decision maker for myself, as for my friend he says that he wants to see the Ferrari build first :)

Thanks lads

Peace

Dont think build dvd's are available, well not unless you buy the kit.
Best thing to do is to speak to owners who have completed their build and then you'll get a feel of how easy/difficult/ time consuming the build is.

As far as I'm aware if you contact extreme they will sell you a dvd, this is then refunded if you decided to purchase a kit.

Those Snippets are really informative, at least I know where to chop the car and bond new sections in.  Do you get the 25mm box section with the kit or do I have to manufacture this myself, not that this is a problem as I enjoy a bit of fabbin when I get the chance ;)

Thanks lads
