Hmm... new kit idea... I'd be quick to say Bugatti Veyron, but that's not a particularly good looking car, and no good donors come to mind.

A DBS Aston Martin seems like a good idea, but it really doesn't have the "out there" looks like a Murcielago, plus you can get an older DB7 for less than $60,000 anyway.

A 997-look Porsche 911 or 959 built on an old 911 is always cool, too.

But I'd really like to see a Ferrari 599 GTB or even an SLR McLaren.  ;)

I think we need to do a poll to see which super car is the favorite for Extreme to consider as there next super car!

Carrera GT for me, think it would fit quite well with a mk3 mr2 and longer wheelbase

it may be a good idea to do a kit that is not being done by others carrera gt is being done although not accurate gallardo is a good looking car but is being done by others so i think you would get so much more interest on the Bugatti Veyron just finding the right donor?

Given where I live, and My works car park... anything other than the DBS would scream "REPLICA" even if I parked an original in it :-)

its important when choosing a car that it has to be believable. There is no point replicating a car that has had a production run of say 100 and are too rare. This straight away will scream out fake.

The other consideration would be replicating say a half a million pound HYPER CAR and parking it out side your 150k semi-detached. Again, will scream out FAKE. With that in mind, I personally would stick to cars in the price bracket of 100-150k, like the Ferraris, Lambos, Astons, Mercs and keep away from the  Bugatti's, the Zondas the Reventon's etc. Personally for me it would be the Gallardo. Yes..DNA are doing a convertable, Exact Replicas are doing one but is not er....exact and is again a soft top. So how about a Gallardo Coupe, which IMO is much much better looking than the convertable, but that front pillar must be spot on, where others are currently failing and failing badly at that.

JUST LOOK AT THIS ROOF LINE.....STUNNING :P :P :P

For what it matters I am back, wife is only allowing me to leave this post as I am not supposed to be out of bed (Spinal surgery).  In any case I was looking to contribute to the possibility of a Veryon build.  How does this line up:

                                        '98 BMW 3-series     Bugatti Veryon
Wheelbase (in)                    106.3                     106.3
Length (in)                          174.5                     175.8
Width (in)                           67.3                       78.7

I am in favor of the Veryon but the width factor is the biggest (11.4 inches) is a big factor but I can not see another vehicle that would be a better choice second factor being a car that is easily accessible from UK/Canada/US as a donor.  I do agree that the price of the Veryon would scream "kit or fake" if many start to pop up.  The same goes for the gorgeous Lambo 4-door.  Let me know what you Gents think.

I will have my wife check the forum for me so I can answer or at least keep up.-Thanks

Hi, I think the next kit should be Aston DBS. There are alot of companies that are making the lambo kits but there`s no one make good Aston. And I thik the DBS is potentional seller especially if the price of the kit is not too high. I`m just little bit boring from this lambos and luck of variety on the market.

Hi Guys - lots of exotic replicas here - personally a view I have is about keeping things simple where possible, if Ash can build a Supercar replica that is ..
1. reasonably quick and relatively simple to build
2. can be built for a sensible budget
3.can sell in bigger volumes because of above..
then we would all be on a Winner!!
Personally what about looking at  body kits as a sideline as you have the fiberglass facilities - this could earn real bread and butter for you and support the more exotic stuff?
Me I would be happy with a R8 based on an older TT which you can pick up for 6k these days, with more of a re panelling effort perhaps not 100% exact but most people would not know..
quick turnover and good cash flow - and we could have a car on the road in say 3 months Tops??
What do you think???

Hi,
I just voted for Gallardo coupe. The wheelbase is 2560mm front track 1622mm and rear track 1592.
The Honda NSX has........................................2530......................1510.........................1540.
Thats.............................................................-30......................-120..........................-52.
Not unsolvable methinks, but an expensive donor though.
At least they have performance and make a nice noise!!!!
A used NSX goes for about €25000 here in Germany if it is undamaged. I guess there are none about with damaged body shells/undamaged chassis?

gallardo donor maybe this could work
clio v6 rear engine door looks in right place just new roof to be made maybe £7000 to £10000 at todays prices should go down by the time the kit is ready bit more widespread than the nsx be hard to get hold of. make this your next build
                    wheelbase       2532 -28
                    track front       1518 -104
                    track rear        1476 -116
