Hiya,

I would tend to agree.....sikaflex to start with, as if later it's wrong you have a chance to cut it out and remove the panel, before final prep work, if everything looks bang on, then fibrefill ( upol B) everything in place.

This is only an opinion, other more experienced guys on here may have more input  :D

Cheers

I used 90 degree angle brackets from B&Q
I dry fitted all my panels using them. It did mean I had screw holes everywhere, but that just adds to the bond strength, as when I bonded my panels, using Upol B, it filled in all the holes from behind. I then spread what was poking out of the holes, let it set and sanded down

I think you may have a problem if you use sikaflex to trial fit your panels. It takes time to go off but when it does it really does bond well. You would have to cut them apart

Hi Ryan mickey is right just screw it in place till your happy with everything then bond it together with bonding paste (upol b or p 40 )  stikoflex is not really suitable as the names suggests it can flex and may coarse some cracks even if you bond over it  cheers jd.

Cheers guys. Great advice as always. Am planning on putting 2mm strengthening brackets between all the panels and body of the car.
