Nice one.

Yeah they are a bit pricey. I have seen someone selling a set on EBay and they are already on £380. I have been thinking it might not be a good idea to replace them because even if I use shear bolts i am sure they will probably damage the roof again before they realise they can't get them off.

Glad I only have £100 excess.

Hi John,

How's the Mini pickup going???

I've been to Ford today to assess the van roof damage, only to be told the whole roof will need to come off, the complete drivers side will have to be repainted and the bill will be about £9k with the replacement roof rack.

After speaking to a few people they are saying the roof replacement is a big no go because of future problems, what are your thoughts?

Cheers
Tone

Hi tone ,the mini pickup resto is just about ready for paint ,I got it primed yesterday so should be done and out the door next week ,then ready for your beast lol, here's a few pics jd .

As for the van roof ,if it's done right there shouldn't be any problems ,but 9k wow I wish I got that sort of money for 2 weeks work , the last roof skin i bought was for a Isuzu trooper and that was only £600 .

Nice job, can't wait to see it all painted.

What's the chosen colour?

Don't know about a beast, perhaps you should reserve judgment until you make a start. Lol

Hey Chris, 3 weeks worth of work on yours you wish lol  ,hey if I was on 9k for a couple of weeks work yours would be the most expensive 430 ever built , although it probably will be already, but it will be the most modified one out there when finished .

As for the mini pickup the guy is going for the Oem look with solid grey body and black roof . Cheers Jd
