I'm still grinning from ear to ear  ;D

I had a bloke come up to me as I was working on the car. He said he is part of a kitcar scene ( I can't remember what one though )

Anyway......

He said that his friend had a Ferrari replica, and that 2 Italian blokes in suits turned up at his door, saying they were tipped off that he had a counterfeit Ferrari, and they were there to seize it.
His friend basically told them to come back with a court order, which they did a few days later.
But by the time they came back he moved his car, out of his garage, to another friends house. He then sold it on to someone else.
I don't know what model of Ferrari replica he had, or even if it is true but......

There is a small meeting near me in July and he said he and his friend will be there and to come along. If I'm off I will go and ask some more questions.
He also said that his friend is now doing another Ferrari Rep and by the way he described it, it is going to be a DNA 250

I have read about this happening in other countries but not here. Surely, if this is true, if it is correctly registered as a Ferrari Replica then it is within the laws is it not ??????

Sounds like a load of crap to me mickey , maybe a bit of the green eyed monster , firstly I don't think they would send someone in Italian suits  it would more than likely be English representatives  , they were stories you herd years ago ,
When I asked the underwriters  in person from Adrian flux they said they had never heard of such things happening for real .

Ps awesome pic buddy she looks fantastic in the sunshine  :)

It does sound a bit far fetched to me but there is always a little worry in the back of my mind
I have read about companies being seized, as they were making them and selling them as the real cars. One was in Spain I think. But not someone building one for his own pleasure.

Anyway.......
Engine in  ;D

Cheers Guys  ;D

I have a question for JD
On your picture below, did you weld the plate on the right, so that the top was level with the cross member on the left

Cheers Matey

Hi mickey ,it was a while ago but Im sure I did , looking at the pic you can see I cut down the original mounts then welded a piece of angle across the back ones , its really all about how much height you need mickey the best thing would be to try the new Oem seat in to make sure you hav enough head clearance ,there's nothing stoping you from making the front and the rear mounts lower , hope this helps mickey  :)

Cheers JD
Didn't get much time on her, but engine is now in where it should be, with brackets all made and welded in. I have made it so it hinges up. That way I can carry a spare wheel, jack and a small tool set.

Anyway, because I am back to work for a couple of days I have made my key and fob

Thanks Matey

Managed to weld in some supports for my passenger seat today, got it all bolted down and working, but in my excitement of having it in there I've not taken any photos  ::)
Will hopefully get my drivers seat in tomorrow, and will take some then

But here is a nice front view
