What a ncie day we had in the South East today
Not quite shorts and tee shirt but jeans and tee shirt  8)

Anyway got my sills all completed and I must say it really changes the look of these cars  :)
Here is a picture

And whilst I was doing that the delivery man turned up with these

So finished off the day fitting them and bleeding the coolant system
Car is now purring like a furry thing that purrs again.
Back to work tomorrow so no work on the car, but got 8 days off from Tuesday, so will be back on it to finish off the little jobs before her trip up North  ;D

Mick

A little update

I had half a dozen little jobs to do before she is ready for JD to take over and perform his magic on her  :)

All I have left, that I can thick of, is to finish of bonding the inside of the roof, about 12 inches left to do. And make up a couple of brackets to hold the power steering pipes up, at the front of the car.

I would of had these done today, but as always, I am easily distracted. I remembered I had some Ali flat bar, so I made these

And here is just a side profile with the rear wheels on

Weather permitting I will get the rest finished tomorrow  :)

All I did was use 30mm x 5mm Aluminium bar, and made up some brackets out of 1.6mm sheet metal
Once I had made up the brackets I then bolted these into place, using 5mm riv-nuts.
Cut the Ali bar to size, marked out where the brackets will fit to the bar, ground down the Ali, so that the brackets will be flush, and then bonded them on
Just need a skim of filler and painted  ;)

Here are the sizes I used for the brackets

Don't know the sizes for the real brace bars but these look pretty close
