Had a spare couple of hours so fitted my new handbrake cables today. I now have a handbrake again haha
Afterwards I was a bit restless so started making the adjustable brackets for my headlights
I got the idea for them from Rick at
www.kitcarz.co.ukThey are a two piece bracket that utilizes the OEM bracket underneath the headlight
The top part is basically a T piece made from tubing and flat bar, this bolts up to the OEM bracket
I measured the centres of the threaded holes on the OEM bracket and put that measurement onto the flat bar
Then found the centre and drilled another hole for the tubing to fit into, then welded that to the flat bar
This left me with the screw holes, purposely oversized so to give me some adjustment left, right, forwards and backwards
For the bottom part of the bracket I cut some square tubing, drilled a hole for some 10mm studding, and welded that together
Once I have removed my replica lights I will be able to measure and cut the square tubing to the correct length
I will also cut the studding and round tube to the correct length
So now I have some brackets that can lift/lower the lights to the correct height using the 10mm nut ( the second nut will be a locking nut )
I will attempt to fit these after Stoneleigh
