Bloody 'ell, hello stranger  ;D
Haha

Are you sure that the oil round the plugs is not from spilt oil from careless oil filling
If not, sounds to me like a cover gasket gone and not a reason for head removal
Fingers crossed Matey

Mick

Can I ask how easy it is to get at the spark plugs? I heard on the 3L V6 they wear out much faster than other cars, I'm guessing the rear bank is a right pain to get to. Need to do mine.

Nice reg you have on there!

So, after days of trawling the web for replacement or upgraded breather pipes, I realised that unless I want some from a scrappy it wasn't happening.
Decided to use hose pipe and gasket sealant to repair the existing ones.

If it does the job then who cares what it looks like. Are you able to still fit the cover on the engine or does it fail on the bonnet

Ok, so bit the bullet and yanked the engine, will keep you updated on my progress.
Just spent nigh on £750 in seals, clutch, cam belt etc, so she should be a nice reliable motor when done.
Also found some cracks in the top of the exhaust down pipe where it meets the flexible bracket, so will get that welded up.
I have decided to cut out the bent up piece of panel that holds the bottom of the radiator and am replacing it with 3x1 box section.

Cheers

In fact, if you zoom in on the exhaust at rear you can see the sooty black crack in the pic!!
Oh, and obviously, I am going to clean out the engine bay and paint it up with shutz or similar. :)
