Engine bay
« on: May 09, 2015, 01:46:21 PM »
Looki what I managed to pick up?
How I found it I have no idea. Talk about rare as rocking horse sh**.
I was looking around on Google at all the Photos. And I found this somewhere.
It's a replica engine top for the Murcielago V12.
I started emailing people all over the world and one replied somewhere in Romania I think.
The person had made a few but said he had one left at the bottom of his shed. I immediately made him a offer he couldn't refuse. Sent him money via PayPal and 2 weeks later here it is.
I'm well chuffed.
I've got the 2 rocker covers, 4 throttle bodies, spark leads cover and even the black sides to the throttle bodies.
It's bare glass fibre at the mo. But I will be getting it painted and have Lamborghini logos on the rocker covers and it should look like the last photo when fitted.  :o

The Lambo lettering was done on my home built cnc machine.  I'm just waiting on some more end mill bits, so when I've dusted it off (cleaned all the crap that I've put on it.) I'll see if I've still got the tool paths and cut a couple out for you. :-)
