F430 Steering wheel mod
« on: July 06, 2015, 10:17:55 PM »
Thrustmaster Ferrari F430 licensed copy steering wheel mod just completed. Used a slightly different Momo wheel this time (I did on a 330mm wheel on the 355), 350mm, pefect fit. Start button connected to remote key fob inside the wheel centre, transmits wireless to a small receiver momentary switch under the dash.

Dash work next.

Genuine F360 plenums above, plus some temp things in the engine bay, while I source the other correct bits

Temp dial backs (print outs of the proofs from Moman plasma dials, Poland), until the proper ones arrive in the post:

Assume you mean momo wheel. You'll need to choose a suitable one, eg like this (which I used), in this case a 350mm  http://www.redpowermotorsport.ie/p/7457666/momo-style-leather-steering-wheel.html, and for the 430 wheel mod, a suitable steering wheel boss kit. then look on ebay for a 2nd hand Thrustmaster F430 steering wheel (for PC). take the front and back off the wheel and sandwich the Momo wheel spokes (drilling a few small holes for the location lugs yo poke thru) with these, cutting away the boss area from the 430 racing sim wheel.

I've also used the 2 x F430 pedals and they work fine, unscrewing the tops from the F430 racing sim pedal set, grinding off the rear mould pattern, and bolting them securely in place:

Wow, thats superb if you can get that fitted, good find.

I'd love to go the whole way and do the mod on a base wheel with carbon transfer dipping potential, this is the ultimate look IMHO, better than the F360 look
