Cutting a windscreen

Has anyone tried this yet?
The 406 screen is laminated and I've cut plenty of laminated glass in my time at work.
I'm just wondering as I'm thinking of rounding the corners and instead of cutting the bulkhead and moving the windscreen wiper motor etc.

I am on the case. Have spoken with a local specialist who does laminted glass cutting . |They advise that a possible complication is the green shading at the bottom of the screen. If the cut goes through this area then diffiuclty arises when they try to aline the two cuts either side of the screen since they have to be exactly inline. They can see the outer cut but cannot see where the inner cut needs to be.  However they say it is not impossible and have asked me to take the screen to them . I will keep you updated.

I've had a practice on a random screen from my local scrappy, and the corners are easy to do, using a template to cut around each side (a coke can in this case), and then crushing the glass after jiggling it first with a pair of pliers and then cutting the laminate off with a stanley blade.
I'll be doing this to my build and getting some screen rubber/trim from Woolies, which is just up the road from me.
The screen at the bottom is not advisable to cut as this is where the scuttle bonds too apparently.

Hey John, let me know when you do yours, I need to get better screen rubber for mine and will join you when you go to Woolies, probably take my car there (I've had sampled from their bins, but without me having the car there, I didn't get it right).

There`s been several vids on YouTube via mad mechanics, they tried cutting the corners from the screen for lambo kits. There seems to be two problems when carrying out the task.
If the cut is successful, this becomes a stress, possible delamination point.
 The guys noticed that a  crack would always start from there if anywhere, and the milk effect would start from the cut corner. This topic was discussed around 5 years ago.

The difficulty the glass people discussed was if the cut had to go through the green band at tne bottom of the screen and if so the problem of getting the inner and outer cut line to line up. The cut needs to go right on end of the green lower band so no problem. HOWEVER when the wipers are in the origional postion the entire wiper arm and blade are now fully visible, the body line between the back edge of the bonnet and the screen is broken up by the two wipers. This in my opinion spoils the style of the car so as a result I will not be going down this route.
