Hey dman, I can tell this is going to be another fine example just from this build diary.

Great road trip diary, looks like the lads over here were willing to offer some good old English hospitality (plenty of beer). I have relatives who own Ned Kelly's in Den Haag so I know what all night drinking can be like over there.

Looking forward to more of your build updates.

Tone

Hey Tone, thanx for the compliments mate!
The road trip was amazing!! Coming over to visit fellow builders was like a warm blanket falling over me... Hed one of the greatedt weekends ever! In holland there is only a very small kitcar comunity... So im a bit of a loner for that matter... Hahha

Cheers

Update:

Earlier this week i rewelded the entire rear frame cause the welds on there did not look strong... I also gave it a good clean and sprayed primer on it...

All clean and ready for primer...

Fully primered:

Welded in the "extra corner" on the lower front end of the door for the guide rail to sit in.. The welds arent to pretty but it is strong now...

Now i'm able to place the front guide rail in the correct postition... Next is to weld in a large massive steel spacer between the top door hinge and the top-front of the door, in order to allign the upper and lower hinge to allow the door to open smooth with no tention/stress in the hinges...when this is done it is time to cut up th blue donor!

The check strap was in the way so i had to remove it... The hole that is there i want to use for funning the cables

Cheers guys!

Hi guys! it has been a while sinse I posted here... been bussy with a new stratup which consumed all of my time... my hands started itching again and started "reading" back into my project again...

I was checking out gauge cluster options... an oem cluster costs around 2.5k and is hard to get functional/accurate. So I thought i'd go digital! i'm thinking about using a samsung galaxy tab S2 in combination with the app "Real Dash". It is a relatively cheap solution and gives the car a more modern look as most new cars have digital screens in their dash these days...

Some pics below:

I am going to mount it on a plate and make a surroud that exactly fits the dash... i think about using lead slabs to bend in the curves of where the cluster would go in etc. in order to create a plug for a fibreglass surround.

I am planing on puting some of the peugeot gauges/warning lights etc on the sides..

What do you guys think of this idea?

Have you looked at the race technology dash2?
They have warning lights and you can programme the dash for warnings if you wanted.
I'd be interested to see a picture of the setup you mention.
