Hi Simon , guys here an update for this week on the rear fake engine. With all the genuine bits in hand I set about to make it all look as real as possible , first I cut and shaped a piece of alloy sheet to bolt under the Oem ferrari engine frame next I trimmed the Oem ferrari inlet manifold and bolted that to the alloy sheet . Looking good so far , on inspection of the plenumbs from extreme there was no where to screw it to the manifold so I fibreglassed around the inside lip and drilled holes to match the inlet manifold job done it bolted up nice and tight , the next job was to cut the Ferrari logo off the top of the plenumbs as extreme for some reason Mold this on backwards lol , once dressed up and drilled the Oem Ferrari logo was bolted in place , ok now on to the rubber sleeves which attach to the plenumbs ,not so straight forward as the shape is not round on the plenumbs so after some cutting and shaping and filling the sleeves fit and the plenumbs were ready to prime , the next job was to make some adapter plates to bolt the throttle bodies to the sleeves, once this was done I could the fit it all together now it was starting to take shape ,
Next I painted the plenumbs with the red crackle finish and once dry assembled it all back together , with a few hoses added and the genuine Ferrari oil tank and fluid bottle added it looked mint. just waiting on the carbon fibre air filters to arrive and that's another job done ,
Wow after reading this I now know we're my week has gone lol . Here's a few pics cheers jd
