Hi Simon , guys , ok latest update the new petrol flap lever and cable arrived so I made some new brackets and fitted that , next up was to make some new fake caliper mounting brackets as the ones fitted were about as good as an ashtray on a motorbike lol ,then it was on to the last jobs on my list , removing the rear engine cover Perspex which was lose on 1 corner but a nightmare of bonder on the rest of it, then the headlights as these were just bonded in place as well , and finally the last job was the Audi Windows and modify inside the door so the door cards now fit with no gaps .  :)
With that list of jobs complete its now time to start prep ready for paint , here's a few pics and a pic of the list of things to do to get her ready for paint  ,cheers jd

Two great things there: Curved windscreen top, glass door windows. Very nice indeed and seriously on my wish list

I LOVE these sunday updates lol.....again thanks so much JD, sterling work as always! The list is getting shorter!

One question (to anyone on the forum) re the fake brake calipers..........I think mine are plastic (?), has anyone found anything more realistic, or even real calipers that aren't too expensive but do the job.  From memory JD are mine yellow? If so does anyone think these are the right colour on a red car.....just putting it out there to guage your opinions??

I bought my rear fake ones from eBay. They came from China so took a couple of weeks to arrive. Keep checking as they come up every so often.
They are fake Brembo and the shade of Red is perfect

Cheers Mick, i've just sourced some from China in red......they look ok but will see.

Just out of interest are you going for the IVA test? If so would appreciate a chat about that!

Hi Simon , guys , well it's been a busy week with plenty late nights as DI has been in New York for the week treating herself to an early retirement present lol,
So plenty bodywork done first I started on the drivers side roof then worked my way down the quarter then the door, wing, bonnet and managed to make a start on the passenger side  she is looking great  ,next up was to start on the rear engine cover ,as Simon managed to get a hold of a pair of Oem grills it was my job to make them fit, I cut away the fibreglass and removed the old mouldered vents then I reinforced the frame with some steal tube and refibreglassed it all back together I must say they look fab , a little more tweaking and that should be finished , here are some pics for now , cheers JD
