It's been a while since I've done anything on the car, I don't know where the last 6 months have gone.
I bought an original pair of headlights, and I've bought a ramp/lift to work on this and another car I have.
So, spurred on by the fact I've got to move the car to get the ramp installed, I've done a bit and hopefully can get some more bits done to it.

Has anyone got any idea where to get the plug connectors for the headlights? they're a non xenon type. I'd like to do a proper job, rather than bodging it up with wires and bullet connectors.
The other question now is, do I do it red? I wanted to do it matte black with gloss black rear light and boot accents and bits of red here and there, calipers etc.
The lights are mint and does pose the question to me of 'do i go red?'
yor thoughts are appreciated

Have you tried car builder solutions, they have a few options.

I'm also not a big fan of several bullet crimp connections, so will be using the waterproof multipin connectors

i did have a look at car builder solutions and they dont seem to have them.
Upon a lot of research I think that the connectors are Sylvania 9005 for the main beam and driving lights.
I'll buy some and see if they're correct.
I've still to find anything like the indicator and side light connectors.

Great to see you are spurred on again.
Stick with the colour Red. Splitting the lights will be more of a problem.
Keep the updates coming

I started it up for the first time in 6 months and it was ticking over.....then a nasty mechanical graunch happened and it stopped. now there's no compression.
I've already purchased a low mileage engine to replace it.
I've also cleaned all of the engine bay and am spraying in semi matt black.
a blessing in disguise is how i'm looking at it.  :D

I've had a couple of days to myself, so have ploughed into the car.
I've had an idea and went with it

original 360 dash. Both Pug and 360 dash were cut to bits!

A bit more fettling and i think it'll look good

I've fitted up the fake engine bay roughly

and sprayed the engine bay

I'm getting everything fitted up and then taking it all apart again to do the spraying and final touches
