Online, after a fair bit of googling...guessing it was at Extreme's facility, with their 360 and Murci in the background...

Same place I found the LP640 front bumper...

In all honesty I'd be suprised if Extreme do much more with the vanquish (sadly) since they're tied up with their current projects (and issues).
Takes a lot of time and labour to get a kit all done, look how long it took for the 430 on the pug, let alone the 430 on the MR2!  And where's the Porsche????

I truly hope i am proved incorrect, but I think it'd be will be a long time before anything "aston" comes out of the Extreme factory, if ever  :(

But more and more kitcar companies are realising that UK petrol heads want a British super car replica and they are building them finally!

When there is one, there will be more....

A 2003 & 2004 Vanquish with 2,000 to 4,000 miles here in Chicago from an official dealer for around $100,000-$110,000, which is around 70,000 GBP.

A replica for half that still makes sense due to running costs etc.

A vanquish with upto 30k miles here in the UK go for around £40k.

It is still feasible that a replica would be profitable for the kit manufacturer and builder alike, (supra £3k-£7k spec dependant, kit maybe £6k-£7k, plus paint and the other what have you's), plus super-cheap running costs vs the genuine.

All that tosh is well and good.  But if no one can/will build it then it won't happen!

SIMPLES!

(PERSONALLY I RECKON THE SUPRA WITH IT'S 102" WHEELBASE WOULD BE PERFECTLY SUITED TO A V12 VANTAGE REPLICA...BUT THAT'S JUST MY THOUGHTS)

Supra, maybe...

For my money, how about starting with the BMW 8 Series..?

Supra wheelbase is 5.5 inches off, whereas the BMW is only 0.2 inches off.

Seems like a better starting point requiring no stretch or extension, resulting in a more cost effective build.

Plus, you get to choose from a 320bhp, 361 lb.ft. 5.4 litre V12 in the Ci or a 380 bhp,  406 lb.ft. 5.6 litre V12 in the CSi.

The Supra is a 320bhp 3 litre Straight 6, Turbo obviously...

BMW base will sound a lot more like the Aston, completing the illusion. Turbo whine on a 6 cylinder less convincing.

For spec. comparisons:

V12 Vanquish S 2004
L: 4665mm / 183.66 in.
W: 1923mm / 75.7 in.
WB: 2690mm / 105.9 in.

Supra Twin Turbo 1993
L: 4510mm / 177.55 in.
W: 1810mm / 71.25 in.
WB: 2550mm / 100.39 in.

BMW 850Ci 1996
L: 4780mm / 188.18 in.
W: 1854mm / 72.99 in.
WB: 2685mm / 105.7 in.

Either way, bring it on...we're looking forward to hearing progress reports...

This whole topic has been massively covered in earlier posts of this thread, and whilst the wheelbase and v12 of the 8 series are indeed more identical, the windscren rake (the angle) is way off, the overall height of the 8 series is way too high requiring the winscreen to be chopped down (which requires further VIC checks in the UK), and the windscreen is way to close to the front wheels (actual body proportions) compared to the Aston.

I suggested to another kitcar builder that a monaro be used as a donor instead. Massive wheelbase (ideal for db9/DBS replica) interior almost spot on already, windscreen rake excellent, thumping lump and RWD!!!! BUT, the whole cars height and proportions would mean significant chopping, and thus again, more checks before roadworthyness.

It's about finding a donor that matches for an easier build so the "enthusiast" as well as a kitcar builder can actually do it! That's why the pug works for the 360/430, and an mr2 for the 355.
And that is also why I reckon the V12 vantage would be perfectly suited to a supra donor!!! SAME WHEELBASE, almost identical proprtions, height, window rake, BOTH LIFT BACKS AND NOT COUPES!!!!!!!

SOMEONE TEACH ME HOW TO DO IT PLEASE!!!!

Which is why other replica companies approximate dimensions and aim for a 'looks like' or 'resembles' instead of Extreme's approach of spot on replica.

Products and solutions for all sorts out there, right...

I really do think all the people waiting for an extreme vanquish will be waiting a very long time yet; if it is even every produced at all. If I were you, i'd go down the following route. Not wanting to plug other companies products on the extreme oc site but I think this will be your best bet rather that hacking into a BMW 850 which I'm sure is not long of classic status. Supra is obviously an option but there still £3500 upwards for a turbo.

Could possibly be put on a coupe gt4 (4x4 260bhp) if you want a hard top or why not put the GT4 running gear in a convertible to give the soft top more get up and go.
