Lowering the suspension
« on: September 14, 2008, 12:04:43 PM »
Car is at correct ride height but I want to lower it another 30mm, I can lower the back easily but not the front. The problem is when you turn the steering the wheels swing into the inner arches. If the suspension arms and driveshafts were lengthened there would be no need for the front spacers and wheels would steer on the correct axis. Someone told me that Extreme offers a hub kit so you can do this, does anyone know if this is true?

Hey Jim, I think they must have been reffering to the spacers.

Are you aware that the A-Arms need to be altered so that the wheel sits centrally within the arch. Have a look and you should notice that the wheel is too forward (I think). By altering this arm, brings the whole hub back an inch or what ever, this then should give you the clearence you need. AshleY recomends doing the drive shafts at the same time. You will need to post the 2 sets to Ashley for him to do.

Hope this helps

I got the suspensions arms modified before, I dont have much clearance on the inner arches near the headlights. I could probably bend them up a bit more or cut away and weld back higher.
