Not good when you destroy your 360 and never even left the garage  :(

Hi, I really love this build and watch your updates all the time.  What are you going to do to cover the bolt heads for the spoiler on the boot lid?  Have you thought about studs to keep it smooth?  Keep up the great work, it is certainly going to be unique  :)

Extreme 430 / Re: Donor Car Question 406 Sedan or else?
« on: June 21, 2011, 04:25:00 PM »
Hi Sixer.

Been living in Bangkok since February, fantastic place.

Zev has shown that it is possible to do it on the 406 sedan and like you said, labour is cheap here so you can get all sorts of stuff done to it.

If you find a 406 then you know it'll be in good condition.  Everything seems to keep well here.

Hi GTO,

What I still can't find out is, what happens to the windows of the doors? I saw on youtube that the roof is lowered about 1" . This way the original windows can't be closed anymore can they?

The original glass is removed and sold if you don't break them.  Then you fit new windows which are the right size (plastic replacements),.  There are a few articles already about the windows.  Have a look in the 360 forum.

@ carsnotpromises - I know, it's very cheap but I have to move it on as I am moving house in a few weeks. Don't mean to devalue the cars but market forces and all that......... :(

@ GTOpower - yes the wheels are included.

@ XPERT360 - yes Nigel it is now sold and should be heading your way very soon  :)

@ Mark430 - good luck with the build Mark and make sure you post lots of progress pics  :)

Thanks to everyone who showed interest in the car.

Cheers,  Ian.

Extreme 360 / Re: Power folding mirrors

If you have a look on the MR2 owners club web site knowledge base there is a good article that tells you everything you need to know. It has loads of colour photos as well.

The URL is www.imoc.co.uk/forums/kb.php?move=article&k=92

Cheers

Just tried the link and it doesn't take you direct to the articles.  Click on the link and when the page opens do a search for "folding mirrors" and you will see a couple of good articles.

Cheers

Does anyone know anything about power folding mirrors? ie do they work via the ecu? or are there any that could be stripped out and fitted into extreme 355 mirror cases and hard wired into a switch to fold? I'm happy enough to strip them down and make them fit  ;) just not sure about the wiring side of things?

any advise please  :)
Hi Paul,

I'f your MR2 comes with folding mirrors there will be a specific relay under the steering wheel near the floor, right hand side.  The you obviously have the folding mirror switch on the driver side door controls.

If you don't have folding mirrors fitted then you'll need the relay, the switch and the folding mirrors.  Not sure if there is a bit of electronics in the door controls or if it is just a switch.

Cheers.

Buy and Sell Forum / Re: FS 360 part complete REDUCED PRICE
« on: December 22, 2010, 10:04:21 PM »
I know there is a credit crunch, it's Christmas and I need to move this car very soon as I have to move house, so, I have reduced the price to a silly amount so get the bargain of a life time.  Come and get it for just £3,500.   It's criminal but it is priced for a quick sale.  You can't even buy the kit from Extreme for his price and look at all the bits you're getting with it, not to mention the donor which has had a load of work done to it.

It's the same on the 360 and Extreme say it just needs one bolt.  But mine has been cut and moved so that both holes line up.
