Extreme 355 / Re: Correcting V5
« on: March 22, 2013, 04:27:16 AM »
My car is till described as MR2 on log book and I want to get it changed but I'm hearing Extreme's a re a problem if inspected? Appreciate any advice - PM if sensitive obviously. Cheers.

Can't be done.

I may have a Mini, and have stuck Rolls Royce badges on it, it does not change the suspension, floor pan and engine magically to Rolls Royce parts, it's still a mini. !

You may have an MR 2, and have stuck panels over the top of it so it looks like a Ferrari, but it's still an MR 2 ! and has to be registered as such.

However, I have just found this :

Car benefits from
Correctly registered with the DVLA as a replica body kit fitted.

See,

so maybe a phone call to find out what the log book description changes to ?

Extreme 355 / Re: Build manual for 355 ?
« on: June 07, 2011, 03:37:29 PM »
Thanks for reply on Build manual.

I have built a few cars, and the Mechanics, interior etc, are no problem,
but the bodies were one piece, and on their own chassis.

The only thing that has to decided, is the best adhesive to bond the
panels, as P40 ( body filler ) is too brittle, Sikaflex is of course flexible,
so metal to abs / Fiberglas bonder will be tried on some test pieces.

Of course, these items to discus will be on another post, as this post
has been answered, and thank you for the replies.

Extreme 355 / Build manual for 355 ?
« on: June 06, 2011, 03:39:57 PM »
Does anyone have a build manual they can copy, for extreem 355 ?

As you all know, it's impossible to contact Extreem.

I bought a full 355 unfinished project (  unstarted would better describe )
instead of a new kit, as all the parts were available ( Read into that what you will )
I have the DVD, but i assume there should be some bits of paper that come with the kit. Can anyone help ?

Thanks

Test and Play / Easy picture resize
« on: April 24, 2011, 08:11:39 AM »
Am surprised no one can resize pictures.
Windows 3.1, 4, 5, 6 and XP come with paint program.

XP - in accessories is mspaint.exe
Just "run" mspaint,  load picture, select pic, and select stretch. Default is 100
%.  Just change % to 50 an 50 x+y axis, or whatever reduction is required, and job done.

Win 3.1 to 5 was paint.exe.

I use Paint shop pro 3.12  32 bit ( free one ) and works on most computers.

if you have not got "paint" on your computer, load CD instalation disk and "add" extras.

Also remember that not everyone has a 3 mile wide screen. Mine is 14 inch at 800 x 600 resolution, but you can always do 2 photos. one at 800 x 600, and one at silly resolutons of 1600 / 2000 pixels.
Why have i not got a wide screen ?  - because the text and pictures show smaller, the higher resolution you go, and web pages now use the extra space on the right for adverts, - which i dont want to see and am not interested in.
( I decide what I want to look at to buy, -- and not a web site )

A4  portrait  paper is 210 x 297 mm ( 8.2 inch x 11.6 inch )
A4 Landscape  paper is 297 x 210 mm ( 11.6 inch x 8.2 inch )

Portrait  photos on A4 = 787 pixels x 1113 pixels
Landscape photos on A4 = 1113 pixels x 787 pixels
So having photos any larger than this if you print a lot, seems pointless, but a larger picture fits on larger screens.
