How is this a thing? As per the build video the measurements are all correct for the roof but, It does not fit.

Then install the cross brace after measuring 59 million times to make sure it's square to the car and in the centre.

Plan B, remake the rear frame, so many cuts later! I now have two angle brackets that match.

Having a few problems with the rear frame. This may be my OCD kicking in but the angles are different and the rear of the frame is to narrow. I tried pulling in the rear wings but doing that meant the centre of the frame did not line up with the centre of the car. Plan B?

Will do, I've also got the van to do and an MR2 to respray but no customers so all of the work will be on these 3 vehicles.

After years of other stuff getting in the way and being in a garage with extremely restricted space I am now able to start my build. (In the old garage)

Still got to get the car yet Mickey, plus I got rid of most of my tools in the 90`s just to stop people asking me to fix their car. I`m now collecting a new set so Mr snap on loves me, just got hold of a 360 dash and I`ll see if I can do something with that. It might be a while before I start building plus I`ve got nowhere to build where I live so I`ll need to rent a unit.

Well went up to collect my kit on Friday and I am Extremely happy with it on the one hand but on the other I can now see the many hours of work it will take (but hey I knew that anyway).

Kev and Warren were great, they had more answers than I had questions (Kev makes a great cup of tea as well).
They gave me a sneak preview on a few projects in the pipeline but I`ll leave that for them to tell you when the time is right!

Managed to take a few pictures while I was there, this is one of Warren working hard (I may take this down if Warren asks me to).

Now you may not be able to tell from the photo but this is Kev doing a little welding.

I must say I had a great time while I was there and a great big thank you to Kev and Warren for the warm welcome and all the hard work they have put into producing a first class kit.

Now for a little rant!
What is so difficult with driving in a straight line?
I only had to travel 217.9 miles to get home but encountered 5 collisions on my journey, all on either motorways or duel carriageways, it`s not rocket science, aim your little box between the white lines, give way now and then, use the mirrors and the flashy things if you want to move sideways, simple, well you would think.

Maybe I`m setting the bar a little high!

Are Extreme still active? Answer, most definitely yes, Kev and Warren show no signs of giving up any time soon and shutting up shop, in fact they gave me the impression that they are in it for the long haul.

Some of you have trouble contacting Extreme via e-mail for one simple reason, your message ends up in their spam folder (but you can`t blame Extreme for this) as I`m sure you will understand extreme receive a large amount of spam e-mails and it would be Extremely time consuming to go through them all.

Warren is the person that deals with your e-mails but please remember he has also worked a very long day at Extreme before he gets the chance to turn on his computer.

May I make a suggestion, if you get no joy via the e-mail route try contacting them on this site, they do drop in quite often, however if you still get no response then maybe contacting one of the admin staff or another member or even me I`m sure we would be happy to pass your contact details on.

The best way to contact Extreme in my experience is by phone but I understand this could be very expensive for those that are overseas.

All I would say is keep trying!

Just to make things as clear as mud, read this http://www.imoc.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?t=43072 But getting your car under 3.5% co and 1200 ppm hc should be easy! And would tell you if you had any problems that you have not noticed, saving you fuel in the long run.

Simple answer, yes. If I remember correctly all cars are subject to emissions testing, it goes from a very basic visual test, excessive smoke etc, up to the test for modern cars that are much stricter your Toyota engine is somewhere in between and I think it is different for each model or year of car, when the mot inspector types in your vehicle details it will tell him the limits for your vehicle. Japanese emissions were/are similar to uk cars as far as I remember.

My 1991 mr2 n/a limits are,
Co max 3.50%
Hc max 1200 ppm
Yours might be close to or the same
Hope this helps.
