Hi Chris (4u2nv), as regards to your parts you ordered. You initially  paid for the fake brake kit but after a later discussion on the phone i advised you, you would need the "real" big brakes instead of fake ones because of the engine transplant you where now doing. We agreed that the £400 would go towards a rear light kit. This was more expensive and we couldnt order them in until the outstanding balance was paid which was requested but was never received. After some time waiting for payment  you informed me you had now purchased your lights from somewhere else.
As everyone is aware this was at a time when we had just been dragged through the courts and extreme had been shut down so i was dealing with alot of things and everything was a huge mess. I did my upmost to supply all the parts and kits including your 430 kit that extreme had been paid for which we did. Unfortunatly after not hearing from you for some years this had fallen through the net and forgot about until you put a  post up. This should have been refunded back then so i do appologise for that. Send me a pm with your bank details and il get that refunded to you.
Sorry John for hijacking your build diary.

Hi Colin, Remember that the roof skin is trimmed too big at the back. You can actually  see the original trim line on the panel. We did this so it can be cut to suit so you can get a perfect gap to the tailgate and also because we had a few people say to us that there roof skin is too small so more material is always better then not enough. The position of the windscreen can be adjusted slightly to where you need it but it might be best to get a happy medium in both adjusting the windscreen position and trimming the rear of the roof skin. Hope this helps.

Hi Mick, it depends on where you taking the measurement from on for the width of the wheel. Remember the width of the wheel is not the total width of the wheel but the measurement of the section between the tyre mounting flanges. See diagram below which explains wheel width and offsets. It should be marked on the back of the wheel the offset and also the wheel width which is measured in inches and will be marked down as 8.5j for example. Like i said its best to get the wheel physically in place where you think it sits best according to the wheel arch and measure the gap between the hub and the mounting face of the wheel. We have the sizes of the spacers needed for genuine wheels to get them in the right place so if you can get us the details on the wheels i should be able to work it out for you.

Hi Mick, Have you put the wheels in the position you would like them with the suspension under load and measured the gap between the hub mounting face and the mounting face of the wheel. This will give rough size on the spacers. Do you know the offset and width of the wheels as i can do some working out to compare you measurements with. The spacers on alex's car for the genuine 360 wheels where supplied by us. They are a two piece spacer to adapt from the 4 stud to 5 stud. The first part is steel and the second parts is aluminium with steel inserts pressed in from the back which are drilled and tapped. This means you are always bolting into steel and not alloy threads which are not sufficient enough for wheel spacers.

Hi Again, Just to clarify, when i say the new position of the plate is on the rear of the box section i mean on the rear of it looking on from the back of the car so its on the side nearest to front of car. Hope that makes sense, its been a long hot day lol.

Hi guys, As regards to boot hinge bracket position if it should be on the front of the box section or on the rear. Both are correct, it just depends on how old your kit is. The newer design is the bracket put on the rear of the box section and a new part to modify the volvo hinge. On the old design where the hinge plate is mounted on the front of the box and the Volvo hinge unmodified what tended to happen if not setup precisely is when the tailgate opened it folded into the roof and catches it on the way up. What the new design does is move the pivot point and when the tailgate is opened it immediately moves away from the roof. The old design does work it just takes more work to setup up so the newer design is just to make it easier to setup. We have also seen where people have had trouble with it catching so made the gap at the top between tailgate and roof larger to overcome this. The newer position does make it easier to have this gap a nice size consistent with the sides. Hope this helps.

Hi guys,
Engine cover.....again.
Spent another day on it, got it to the best I can, thought I would try the Perspex in.....

We have been made aware that the rear window is abit too big, thats the problem with using a template done by the previous extreme. We've now had this changed. As for yours Alex just trim it down equal on both sides for a better fit. It should still be slightly bigger to help it keep a curve when fitted. I know it sounds crude but we would recommend a belt sander to sand the edges down to the desired size. Then just finished off with some finer grit and wet and dry paper.

Hi Everyone,
As most of you are aware the website has been shut down for some months. Earlier this year we where involved in a court case with Lamborghini S.p.a after been sued for design patent copyright infringement. Unfortunately for us they where successful. After been ordered to pay court costs, legal fees and compensation Lamborghini S.p.a also visited our workshop and seized all infringing molds and jigs. Since the court case we have also received unwanted interest from another Italian manufacturer and therefore we have took the decision to dissolve the company Auto Transformations that was trading as Extreme Sportscars. This is to protect ourselves from any further legal action.
In the future we hope to develop our own car supercar design under a new brand name and a fresh start. This is the end of extreme but not the end of us. It is simply the end of a chapter and  beginning of a new one. Building our own designed car has been a dream for us for a number of years and if anything good has come out of this it will push us to realize our dream. Since taking over running extreme some 2 plus years ago we have endured many challenges to restore the reputation of the extreme brand and that the customers we have dealt with have been both satisfied with the quality of our kits and our service. Through this we hope our work ethics and passion for what we do has come across for people to have faith in us of what holds for the future.  Please note our number is still the same and if anyone has any questions or concerns please don't hesitate to get intouch. Just to make sure our number is 07716319526.

Many Thanks

Kev and Warren Green

Hi Alex, That amount of modification is not needed. When you come to pick your suspension kit up we'll show you what is needed on a car that has already been modified in our workshop that has 19" wheels on and the new suspension kit you are getting.

Many Thanks

Hi Alex, The brackets for the volvo hinges need to be on the back of the box section (side closest to front of car). The volvo hinges need to be modified. In the kit you get 2 bars of steel with a small slot for bolting to the tailgate. The volvo hinge is cut down near the hinge pin and the new bar welded on. This is to eliminate the old problem of the when the tailgate is opened it folds into the roof and takes work to get it so it just misses. Changing the hinge point means when the tailgate opens it moves away from the roof. Hope this is understandable lol. We're out of stock of these but have got some on order of which we will send mick some aswell. We'll have some in for when you pick your suspension kit up.

Many Thanks

Extreme

The white 430 they show on their website is actually one of our kits fitted to a peugeot 406 as they bought it like that from someone we know. We've contacted them a few times and asked them to remove the photos of our car which they still haven't. Odds on they've used it to mold and alter to fit to the celica which will be the black car.
