I am just so happy that a trade agreement from the 1970's has mutated into this dictatorship. I am young enough not to have voted for the trade agreement and the shower of s**t in power (I almost said voted into power then lol! ) are too spineless to give us the vote to get out of Europe...... The won't even give us a vote to get them out of power. To cap it all Gordon is using his last 6 months in the job to put us so far up a creak it will be decades before we've paddled our way out.

Sorry to get political... but this European BS gets right on my wick. Why interfere with peoples lives for no god dam reason.

On a lighter not, I guess the way round this is to grind off the chassis number and SVA your vehicle as a kit car unless europe have scuperred Kit cars?.

We may all be limited to developing drug habits, avoiding health and safety hazzards, eating ourselves to obesity, claiming every benefit under the sun , or binge drinking as recreational entertainment as this seems to be all that is encouraged in this day and age.

Appologies if I have offended or hit any raw nerves !.

Buy and Sell Forum / Re: F**k that a prsch 996 replica?!?!?!
« on: January 15, 2010, 10:26:12 PM »
Quite clever if you ask me. I'd have never thought of a calibra as a donor for a 996 and I have seen worse look-a-likes.  Get a turbo 4x4 and it would go quite well as well.

From what I understand from my limited experience of Australia is that they have very high import taxes on cars which is why they all drive Holdens etc. The price is probably very cheap compared with the price of an original. I remember seeing the motoring section of a newspaper and the F430 was $550,000 AUS new and BMW 5 series were $250,000 AUS new. Much higher than uk prices.

Extreme 360 / Re: MR2 360 extreme kit
« on: January 03, 2010, 03:22:27 PM »
The dna cars have had the shape of the ferrari altered to fit the mk3 MR2 and the extreme cars alter the donor peugeot altered to fit the ferrari. As can be seen on the extreme site, the 360 parts are huge when placed against a mk3 mr2. If you put the extreme roof on a mk3 mr2 it would also be huge and would need lots of cutting down. It would probably be easier to start a roof from scratch. You could try using a removable hardtop designed for the mk3 mr2 as a starting ponit and if your carfull may be able to retain this in its intended function ie a removable hardtop. That way you would get the practicallity of a hardtop with the open top function for the summer.

It's unlikly to be completly accurate but then the dna is a lookalike car rather than a replica so it's not going to matter too much.

I really do think all the people waiting for an extreme vanquish will be waiting a very long time yet; if it is even every produced at all. If I were you, i'd go down the following route. Not wanting to plug other companies products on the extreme oc site but I think this will be your best bet rather that hacking into a BMW 850 which I'm sure is not long of classic status. Supra is obviously an option but there still £3500 upwards for a turbo.

Could possibly be put on a coupe gt4 (4x4 260bhp) if you want a hard top or why not put the GT4 running gear in a convertible to give the soft top more get up and go.

General Chitchat / Re: Lamborghini 25th Anniversary Countach
« on: September 16, 2009, 12:44:59 AM »
Sorry to jump in again but EPS is not the way to go for a performance car. I have drive 1 and 3 series BMW cars with both systems and there is a different feel to the EPS equiped car. Yes you would not notice it if that is all you had known; which I suspect is the case with the toyota p*nis. The feel and weight at the steering wheel is just not the same between the 2 systems and if you are building a car from scratch and going to the lenghts of carbon fibre panels etc....why spoil it with steering that is not up to scratch, and will only save 2-3% on co2 / mpg.?

Electric power steering !!!!!. I have driven a car with this and it's no where near as good as old fashioned power stearing. Why do you think BMW M cars are not fitted with this ???

I thought the side and rear windows were plexiglass ?. There's no mention of the glass on the extreme site. What glass is used for the side windows as the doors are shorter so I can't be the peugeot stuff ?.
