Buy and Sell Forum / 360 project for sale
« on: January 24, 2019, 02:11:12 PM »
A lot of the cutting to the chassis and all of the welding has been done along with all of the filling of the panels, to the point where it has been sprayed......badly.

An awful lot of the modifications have been done to the enging bay too, the water bottle, air con condensor and radiator have been moved, as well as the battery tray relocating.
Hinges for the bonnet and boot are all done.
Hinges to the doors done.
I'm sure there will be some cutting and welding to do somewhere

It'd make a lovely project for someone
There is still a lot of work to do to it.
I haven't tried to start the engine, as time and the cold at the moment have been against me. i am assured by the previous owner that it runs lovely. been the 3.0 petrol V6, they are a very good engine.

Not sure what else to say really,....it's a project that i'm not going to have time for due to other commitments and too many projects.

360 Build Tips and Advice / airbag light?
« on: December 21, 2018, 05:32:23 PM »
What's the best way to eliminate the light on in the dash?
I'm not keen on just wiring it up to the oil light.
Any tips or advice?

Extreme ChitChat / extreme parts for sale
« on: November 04, 2018, 10:59:07 PM »
This is more to help people who are buying the unfinished projects i have seen on ebay recently.
Although Kev isn't making the kits anymore, he knows where parts are available for the extreme cars and also can get hold of some parts that may be missing from the kits you are buying.
He's helped me out no end, getting the bits missing from my incomplete kit, supplied me with a fake engine kit, got me missing bits of glass, got the missing bits of metal for me, suspension kit, wheel spacers, H gate and gear stick kit and more
If you're reading this and after parts to complete your car or give it the finishing touches, then give him a call on 07716 319526.
i've just returned home from a long round trip, but have a van full of goodies from Kev  :D

Build Threads / Cutting a windscreen
« on: August 27, 2018, 09:42:25 AM »
Has anyone tried this yet?
The 406 screen is laminated and I've cut plenty of laminated glass in my time at work.
I'm just wondering as I'm thinking of rounding the corners and instead of cutting the bulkhead and moving the windscreen wiper motor etc.

i've taken most of the metal parts off of it that get welded on.

Build Threads / zxrjohn14 360 build
« on: July 11, 2018, 05:15:39 PM »
Firstly let me start by saying a massive thank you to Micky London for the build DVD and advice. Also his cracking build diary....mine will not be as good as his.

I purchased the car for 1000 of the queens finest pounds from someone who had left it to rot under a tree.

i started by cleaning it out and seeing what i have and haven't got.
there are a few bits missing:
Boot lid perspex
Passenger side fibreglass A pillar bit
Fibreglass bit to cover the boot latch/box section

The story behind it is the guy i got it from purchased the body kit in 2009 and stored it....badly by the shape of some of the panels.
He got a 406 in 2013 and got Extreme themselves to do the cutting and most of the welding. the car then was stored in a garage til 2016 and then parked under a tree until 3 weeks ago when i purchased it. No work was ever done to the car  :o :o

The interior of the car is beyond saving and it has has the 2.0 petrol engine fitted, so I've purchased a mint 406 with a low milage 3.0 engine to use as a donor, I need a windscreen and trims too so it made sense to get the donor

I've purchased a set of 19" wheels and an original Ferrari 360 exhaust to sling on it.

most of the welding and bashing that needed doing has been done by me and I've dry fitted all of the panels now

If anyone has any parts that they want to sell please let me know, especially if it's lights!

i'll try and take photo's and updatye now and again
 :) :)
