Other kitcar chat / Insurance renewal time
« on: May 09, 2013, 05:57:53 PM »
Just in case anyone is looking

Got my renewal for my 355 through from Footman James and it had gone up from £280 last year to £357 this year for 3000 mile limit and a claim back in 2009 for stolen keys.

Renewing now with Adrian Flux for £296.

I saw this car about 5 or six years ago, it was not started by, but completed by Mirror Finish. Originally a Turbo (had a bad oil leak at the time, probably the reason for the engine swap).

Build Threads / AIG1355 Tarting Up Diary
« on: January 30, 2011, 03:39:51 PM »
Its time I started on my improvements which I have been planning for a few years and gathering various items for the process. I have no idea how long this is going to take as I get very little spare time however, today I managed to get an hour to do some investigative work in the garage before I start butchering my pride-n-joy.

Ist job is to fit a genuine F355 rear grill. At first I thought I would have to cut this down as it is wider than the Extreme engine cover. But on investigation, the genuine car has the rear grill fixed to the top of the rear light grill/Panel unlike the Extreme where this black area is part of the rear engine cover so I wll not have to trim the OEM part put re-work the engine cover and rear end of the car slightly. I discovered today that the tailgate has split between the inner and outer skins so I've got to fix that in anycase.

The next job is to fit the replica interior. I've had an Extreme replica interior for a few years gathering dust in the garage while I sourced gauges etc.

I have a feeling my car will miss out on the 2011 season this time.

HeyHo.

Extreme 355 / 355 Front Wheel Clearances
« on: August 09, 2010, 09:39:47 AM »
Hi,

Those with Extreme 355s, what have you done do overcome front tyres catching on the wheel arches on full lock? I have the 18" 100% replica wheels with 225/40 tyres. Its not a major issue at the moment as I have a friendly MOT tester who turns a blind eye once a year but I would like to get something sorted, other than taking a club hammer.

Cheers

Extreme ChitChat / 2010 Schedule of Events?
« on: March 26, 2010, 03:24:21 PM »
So whats the chances of getting a proposed schedule of events for 2010 where Extreme will be attending. Previously the Extreme Owners Club has had a poor showing?

Should be a few owners with cars built by now that are wanting to attend and event or two? or maybe its just me.

Other kitcar chat / Help - Thieving Gits Stole My Keys
« on: October 07, 2009, 07:33:19 PM »
Following a break in my Extreme 355 keys have been stolen.

Does anyone know of the best people to sort my car? I'm based in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire

Based on a 1993 imported N/A MR2. I need someone to get into the car as its locked and sort out new keys/ignition/steering lock.

Any suggestions folks?

Cheers
