Extreme Murcie / Headlight rings - 3D Printed
« on: March 15, 2020, 10:10:50 AM »
Times move on a little and with 3D printing becoming mainstream I designed up some headlight rings for the Murcie.

https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3938685

I've uploaded the design to thingiverse so you can print your own but if you don't have a printer then I would be more than happy to print a set out and post it for say £25

Infact, if you want anything designing / printing then let me know. I have about 16 printers at the moment...

Extreme ChitChat / New Joint Facebook Group
« on: June 01, 2017, 02:16:00 PM »
Hi all...

Well, I've been thinking about this for some time and decided to go ahead and create a Facebook group that covers both the DNA owners club and Extreme owners club.  After visiting Stoneleigh this year it was clear that everyone was getting on great and I think it can only be an advantage having somewhere that we can all share photos, suppliers, developments and most of all have great banter and arrange meets etc... ;-)

I've stuck a link up on the front page but please feel free to join the group.

Thanks,

Steve

Extreme ChitChat / Lidl sawing machine...
« on: January 24, 2016, 07:28:25 PM »
OK, so I know this isn't the type of topic you would expect..

But I really fancy having a go at covering my own interior.  It would save me loads in costs and also give me the pleasure of doing it.

I've was looking around ages ago at sewing machine and today I was grabbing some stuff from Lidl and spotting one that does twin stitch.

I am very very tempted to give it a go.. Any one else had a go?

Extreme ChitChat / Image size problem..
« on: January 08, 2016, 01:57:42 PM »
Due to everyone running fancy camera apps now, the uploaded photos are getting bigger and bigger. As well as using lots of space on the server it's also increasing the amount of bandwidth which will soon cost me extra.

So.. I've added a new bit of code that automatically resizes all the images on past and future posts. Hopefully this will solve the image issues.. :-)

Please let me know if any of you have any problems.

thanks,

Steve

Other kitcar chat / HID or LED?
« on: January 02, 2016, 11:15:35 PM »
So.. at the time when I started my kit many moons ago HID was all the rage. Now however with LED's getting better and better and whilst I can still easy access my headlights I was thinking about swapping all the HID stuff out and going for LED's purely for maintenance factor. I did have some HID's on my DNA and one went and it was a nightmare to change.

Which would you go for? I can pick up it seems 2 x H3 80w cree LED's for about £16.00 which seems a no brainer to me.

Any thing to look out for ?

thanks

Well, after my dead battery episode I've decided to buy one of these little boost packs that also does lots of other things, well mostly charging :-)

Cost me £36 Inc postage from eBay. Not sure how good it will be but it says its 50800 capacity!

Anyone else got one?
