Extreme Murcie / Wiring front lights ?
« on: February 28, 2012, 10:11:37 PM »
I've fitted HID to my low beam and when I flick to high beam they go off but when I flick back to low beam they dont come back on. I've put a meter across and they should be on.... hmmm So I need to switch off / on the lights to get them to power up again. I was wondering if anyone else came across this? It might be just the case I've got cheapo HID's controllers. I've got round it by fitting a diode to the high beam neg which power's the HID box so the low beam will not turn off when 'flashing' which I think it a better option.
Attached are some pictures of what I've done. The wiring is only temp for now for testing, I will unsolder / heat shrink and re-solder tomorrow night when I get some heat shrink.
NOTE - THESE LIGHTS ARE NEGATIVE SWITCHED, THE 12V IS SHARED.....
