Hi guys! Another good score today!! I got all the OEM internal door parts like the guide rails for the side glass, cable loom, oem doorlock, oem door hinges, inner rubbers, red door lights etc. I also got the motors an inner door hinges!

I needed these parts befor i can start my build, because the most important part of my build evolves around the glass. The last parts i need for the door are the outer rubbers, the large inner door rubber and the door cards...

After i have the A and B pilars (tacked) in place i need to adjust the curve of the A pillar and reposition the B post to the correct spot. In order to determine the correct roof line i wil use the oem window strip that i lay on top of the oem quarter glass and then place it on the quarter. Below is a picture of what i mean.

As you can see, the bottom part of the quarte matches the shape of the oem quarter glass, the top part matches the roofline of the pug, which is more rounded. I will have to adjust the quarter panel as well as the A-pillar to get the correct shape.

What do you guys think of the route that i'm taking?

Cheers!

I forgot to mention that i have made a paper trace of the mountingpoints of the oem door. I did this to have a guideline to know where the mounting holes and bolts go.. When i get to the point of building the doors i'll do a more detailed explaination of my plan.
Unfortunately an oem door wont fit the pug.. So i have to work with the pug door.. But i think it is very doable..  Ofcourse it takes time.. But i dont mind..

Below you see the pics of the paper trace and details of the oem door..

Had a big set back today... I found out the whole left quarter beam is rotten... Can poke a screwdriver right through.. This donor i keep for parts, but i aint going to use for my build as it requires restauration as if it is an oldtimer.... Below is a video

Hi Pedro, there is a guy doing a rear engine build with an audi rs4 engine.. Im visiting the UK next weekend to visit some ecperienced rear enigine builders to see what will be a realistic option for me in terms of legislation here in the netherlands...

Update:

Had a good dayon the new donor today!! The car is looks brand new and hasnt got a single dot of rust! It is sooooo much better working on this car then the other one! All screws actially come off when you turn them!! Tomorrow i will be at the same point where i left of with my red donor! I am goingto test fit the oem windows on the red donor and implement it on the new donor once i got everything working propperly..

Below are some pics of today.. Cheers!

Wow, I've just listened to the Rs4 high revving engine on youtube, that would really be something. Until now, I'd been thinking or the Audi V10 S6 engine (check this one out, 20 seconds into the vid https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s0zHWoNaa6s
