It would be great, but there is a fine line about how many people know about the cars. Its not just the value of the car that you are replicating that affects the final value of the kits, but also how many other people know about them. Get a group of 100 people together & you can guarantee that at least 5-10 of them will know that you can get ferrari kits on the mr2. The maxpower & top gear coverage of the mr355 kits made them popular but at the same time the costs dropped as 1) there were more around & 2)the thrill of having a replica is tainted somewhat if everyone already knows its a kit.
This is one reason I needed the murci for the grooms car & cant use my 355, noone is going to pay to have something that several people in their wedding party know is a replica.
DNA put their car in Max power & I think it was the worst thing they could have done. It may have got them a short rush of sales, but now loads of people know about the 360 replicas.
Taking the hard top extreme 360 & the murcis to a max power type show would definetly get a lot of attention & be cool on the day, but the number of sales compared to the exposure it will get isnt high, and I think it will hurt our resale values in the future. There is also a whole load more work involved in our kits than smoothing off a golf bootlid or bolting a spoiler onto a saxo, so not sure how many would actually want to have their cars off the road for so long.
Obviously this is just my opinion, but I think we need to keep the cars relatively underground & stick to mostly exhibiting at the kit shows.
